The thing that keeps getting me is 6 months... 6 months. As in November or later. To be one month away from the console release and announce a 6 month extension just seems strange to me. I guess we'll see how it goes.

I read a long time ago that PC, PS4 and Xbox will all have separate servers.

Isn't six months going to put it somewhere in the neighborhood of WoD's release?

Honestly this just seems... Odd. Not so much the delay, but the six months thing. They've always planned to release on the consoles so it's not like they shouldn't have had a good handle on porting, infrastructure needs, and all the rest long, long ago. Sure, they could be behind on the console ports, but by six months? With it only coming out now, well after the PC launch?

    Very odd.

Zenimax is a very immature company, especially in comparison to Bethesda. They simply bit off way more than they can chew. TES IP is something they just simply cannot handle. Should have seasoned themselves more developing other games of their own.

And their "generous" offer, due to the console version being beta tested on PC, *cough* I mean further developed for consoles *cough*, basically involves paying full price for the PC version, and then charging you again to play on console - admittedly with a decent discount on the digital purchase.

They certainly have balls don't they - getting full price plus extra charge, plus sub. And Xbox users also get slugged the Microsoft console tax - I mean subscription.

Not only - you also have to buy the PC version NOW before end of June, THEN you will be able to pay only 20 extra bax for your console version :)

personally to have to pay for my Hydro bill, so i can pay for my internet bill, so i can pay for my PSN live bill, so i can pay for my game subscription bill, so i can finally play my game......is the worst frickin money milking scheme humans could ever conceive of.

how about, F U you greedy frickin companies.

Forget consoles, i'm sticking with F2P on my PC, and single player games.

I bet 10 the console launch will have the same problems and bugs if not more :)

    wise move.

console players seem to be a little less forgiving of a "finished product"  as MMOs make the transition. its no easy feat releasing a game in multiple platforms. anyone who disagrees about taking added time to improve before release will be the first to throw a tanty when ANY bugs are found.

exasperated is the word i use when i see ppl wailing over launch bugs and teething problems of any MMO. you kids have no idea how easy you got it!

yes! back in my day etc....

Will be surprised if the console version does release. I believe that it will be in headlines as "being worked on", "being pushed back," until the inevitable "cancelled".  I don't see this coming to consoles, but am used to being wrong, a fact that my wife keeps mentioning.

Actually its only the Xbox that charges you extra if you want to do anything, and i mean absolutely anything, online. for the Playstation, you don't need a sub to them to play games online, its the same with FFXIV;ARR you don't need the PS+ thing, to play it on either the PS3 or PS4. image

But this is assuming the game ever works on consoles...image

Yeah,  no surprise here on the delay for the console.

I also think part of it is that Zenimax et al. wants, and console players expect a top-notch true "next gen" product.

Of course, even if the console game turns out to their expections, the console ESO will be a "light" version of the PC/Mac game.
