No it isn't. It never was. That is the opinion. And also an indisputable fact if you want to talk "in general".Now why not waste your own time explaining why is supposed to be the best option in first place, rather than just asking for free bumbs for a loaded topic simply hailing and promoting WoW as the greatest of all things and not contributing, discussing, reporting or doing anything else that deserves a thread?
Most who've disagreed, have said anything but failed to mention a MMO (which they think) is indeed a better option than WOW, which only further proves that's indeed the best option. After all the thread was intended for that purpose those "who think otherwise are welcome to share their opinions, why in fact they don't think it's the best option".
You think there is a better MMO out there than WOW? Well, let's hear it and your opinions why you disagree with this thread, thx.
Again, WoW is the best mmo for you. Why do you feel the need for outside affirmation? Is it not good enough to enjoy an mmo you like without seeking validation from forum members? Or are you trying to discredit other people's personal favorites?
Because it's forums like these where us the players who are involved with this genre can share as much information on products we've tried and then make our own comparison what is "as you've stated best for us".
The question is more about why do you "feel the need" to post on threads to just troll the OP? If you have an opinion you are welcome to share it. When you come here and simply say "WOW is best for you" you are trolling but if you said "WOW is best for you" and actually put some imput behind that it would be considered an opinion that could helped this thread.
I could too went on every random thread and spammed the OP saying "what you just said is only valid for you", but as I've said with such effortless, trolling posts you are only "discrediting" yourself.
You created a new thread on a tired old topic, used an inflammatory title, offer nothing in the OP other than "tell me why you disagree", without any supporting information why it should be considered the best option, or for that matter, the best option at what, and then go around calling people trolls?

Originally posted by Wrender Best option left the building right after Blizzard removed the necessity of arrows for their hunters bows. I mean really? Seriously? I have never seen a developer massacre their own awesome creation as Blizzard did with this game. WoW was great for a couple of years only. Made me cry when they made it so retarded a 3 year old could play with almost no mental capacity whatsoever as far as an actual alternate world.
I fully agreed with the arrow change for hunters, it was a ridiculous burden on a single class to have 1 less bag slot and always have to fill on arrows.
I always felt that things started turning south when they removed the hunter dead zone and started not requiring stance dancing for warriors both of which dramatically reduced the skill level required to play the game.
There was nothing hard about Wing clip+disengage+concussive shot kiting for hunters, or stance dancing due to people just using a macro for it. Additionally, it became way too easy for people to hunter hug. Now that hunters have lost melee, which I approved of, there is no need for a ranged deadzone, no one else had them the whole time anyway. It hasn't changed the skill level of the game that much if not at all.
I do not like what current retail WoW has become. So for me, Vanilla WoW is still the best option. With TBC coming in a close second. And no, it's not nostalgia. I'm alt-tabbed, playing Vanilla right this second and it's superior to current WoW.

Thanks for your super awesome in depth opinion, better end my sub disband guild and go play vanilla again!
Thankfully I never played WoW, so I don't have 1-10 years of attachment to any characters. I can only dream how hard it would be to part from a game I invested that much of my life in. If you played at least 5 + years , I would think WoW isn't just a game anymore but more of a second or maybe first family ?
Me parting from GW2 for WildStar was kinda hard, but I'm DAM happy i did ! At least for the moment.
This thread was posted in such a way that there's little actual discussion in the OP. "Best option" can be interpreted in many ways, but you didn't supply any definition of your own, just invited disagreement.

Have fun, that's all that matters.

You posted this sort of recently talking about best option, but was a substantial post: http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/412295
