I'm trying the whole day to do the lvl20 dungeon... yes it's hard and i love that... but people just leave group after few wipes....This new generation of carebare gamers is disgusting! Back to EVE
Im not playing this game but truth is this happens with every new game until the mass understands how things work. I saw this initially in almost every new MMO Ive played. The latest, GW2, saw this initially at the start also. Now PUGSs handle dungeons easily in GW2. Just be patient and give the population time or the developers time to nerf the dungeons, either one of them.

They quit because they are carebears or because they dont know how to beat the dungeon? In other hand EVE online is calling.
Play with guildies, it matters again to know who you play with. care not about 'hardcore' and 'noob', 'carebear' aka obnoxious labels, learn with friends instead. Or play Eve online, Gank Monkeys always love new easy prey.

I agree with you about modern gamers. They lack patience, attention span and the ability to overcome difficulty. But like any game in a month or two 90% of the pretend players will be gone and moved on to the next big thing and the community will be much better for it.

He cant, he is hardcore man.
Did i ever said the word "hardcore"? -_-
When you call other players who dont meet your standards "carebears" you are proclaiming to the world you are an elitist hardcore.

Not at all. When people quit after 1-2 wipes what should i call them? They are carebears, they want easy content.

So after buying the game and playing it to level 20, you decide the game is not for you because a few dungeon groups in a new game suck and quit. Therefore your logical decision is to dump the new game you just purchased in favor of an old game that plays 100% different than the new game you just purchased.
You really expect me to believe you actually purchased the game ? You play sandbox games and clearly enjoy that type of playstyle that goes with it. Sorry but it just seems like you are trolling here cause you want to bash on the new themepark game that released.
I know what you mean, but they are not Carebears (Eve PVE players not interested in PVP) they are simply a modern generation of player trained by Blizzard to run and aoe and collect rewards (at least 1 purple a week surely!!) Over time they will learn to rely on skill and learning, we can hope.
Edit : oh ye proclaiming you are leaving a game because you cam across bad players - smells off.

I bet you the reason people just drop out is for this:
Lack of communication and team work, or lack of positive and constructive communication.
Wildstar is trying to get away from the dungeon running where you que for pug and finish the dungeon without even having to say "hello" to your team mates.
Try communicating with your team, talk strategy, WHATEVER.
I tell you right now I have no problem leaving a pug if:
A) No one has said a word to me, I always greet my team mates and ask them how they are doing
If players are trolling
C) If players are rude
It isn't worth my time, or enjoyment to play a game with rotten people, and so I won't. I am willing to bet these people that leave your pugs feel this exact way.

I witnessed many people leaving after a few wipes in ffxiv specially on titan hardmode doesn't mean they are carebear. Those people might not have all the time in the world like you so if they see the party is not going to be able to succeed they will leave. Not the first time I left a random party because they keep on doing the same mistakes even if you point it out.
I am not going to stay for 10+ tries when the same people are doing the same mistakes over and over. The problem is not when that 1 person leaves but the sheeps that leave afterwards instead of waiting for a new person to join.
I've seen this behaviour in many new MMO's; Rift, GW2, ESO, TOR, you name it.
It's something you need to accept these days. Luckily there are also quite a few other people who will look up to you if you dare to stand up against bad mouthed nitwits in those games. That's why it's imperative for games to give the group tools in the hands of the player.
A clear group leader needs to be there to school the kids about manners. They'll respect you for it. Ironically I often make friends and get into new guilds by means of a "no nonsense, no drama" attitude, that's required in PUG groups nowadays.
Feel free to use my referral link for SW:TOR if you want to test out the game. You'll get some special unlocks!
Bloodaxe, and what about the other people in that group that played at your skill level or better - what about their run you just screwed by leaving early.
I've had 2 rules that I have applied since day dot:
1 : don't be the person that leaves first. People invariably leave first out of selfish reasons (no patience, judgemental, poor planning) Imagine how you would feel if a better player than you fecked off because you were not up to their standard.
2: Leave enough time to do the run with problems. Modern wow culture/expectation that they will clear an instance with no issues has cause so much damage.

We all play for fun, what you consider fun and what I consider fun are drastically different.
There comes a point where the amount of effort a game requires exceeds the amount of joy gained from playing the game. That is point of no return, cross it and people quit playing. Wildstar crosses that point.
I'm not saying the game needs to be nerfed. The market needs more niche games and you hardcores deserve a game of your own.
But for a large section of players they're going to play the game until they get to dungeons, realize they're not enjoyable, and quit playing.
Anyone who can't handle having to do content twice because of a wipe needs to play Dark Souls lol. In that game, you get to fight the same boss for HOURS, dying over and over and over, just praying that you somehow get lucky enough to actually win.
But when you do finally win, it's amazing .
Personally, I like this model for content better than the MMO model of having like a 90% chance to succeed at anything I try. I actually feel like I accomplished something when I beat a boss in Dark Souls.

Lol carebear doesnt mean no skill, that's a foolish premise propogated by gank donkeys and Blizzard. Humans love challenge. How exactly do you know Wildstar crossed 'a point', and what is that point?

So basically you are saying you quit after a few setbacks because you are a carebare gamer who is not willing to tough it out ?
Bloodaxe, and what about the other people in that group that played at your skill level or better - what about their run you just screwed by leaving early.

I rarely leave first usually someone quits after a bit.
The difference in ffxiv and here (Dunno about wildstar haven't played it) is that in ffxiv when you join a dungeon/boss fight you are added with random people and unable to get new people if anyone leaves or is holding the team back.
And I didn't say I leave after one run. If you knew the amount of runs I had to do to find a team that didn't have some retard leaving after 1 wipe or dying by lag, can't dodge anything, ungeared and healers couldn't keep him/her alive and so on and so forth on titan hardmode in ffxiv to get my relic weapon.... If only you knew.....
There's a limit to my patience and everyone else.
(It took me almost 2 weeks to get 1 titan kill on dragoon and a month with warrior just to give an example of how I am not impatient)

I love EvE but tbh if i was to say the worst thing about it, that would be the community.
I believe that the majority of mmo's have the same quality of players (we all change mmo's anyway) but for me EvE is a negative exception

Why would a person stick around if the content is hard, players are still get use to it, and the rewards dont equal the time it takes.
Instead you could just level by yourself instead of wiping and get so much more experience.

Impatient toolbags is probably more appropriate. Carebears are people who traditionally shy away from PvP related stuff.
And yes, these kinds of people are in every game.
