Nah. Those get up there. For that kind of money I would buy a Sager or something. I just don't need that.  I know I said I had a decent budget and I do. I just don't want to spend to spend you know? I'm definitely being like that old woman window shopping that annoys everyone. I do however like the looks of the Google Nexus 10 2. Especially if it's extremely close to the current Nexus 10 price range with the rumored specs. Not thrilled about the limited storage in those but definitely acceptable at those prices.

Too much heat in too small of a space to be reasonable for a tablet.  And you also don't want to rely on Intel video drivers for gaming.

Quizzical What are your thoughts on the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 or Galaxy Note 2014 at Amazon prices?

Nm, just going to wait Nvidia is releasing their tablets supposedly this month with a K1. Definitely way smaller than what I wanted. But seems to be at a good price though for mobile devices in general.

Unless someone gives me a really good reason not to by the 29th. I think the Shield tablet could be my purchase. It's got a small amount of ram. Screen size is way smaller than I wanted but the price of this thing is awesome.  I think the Nexus 9 is coming out with a K1 as well but supposedly this stuff has been talked about for a very long time and nothing solid on it yet. A bit tired of waiting as well.

Just an update. I made two purchases. A Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and the HP 13z hybrid for Windows as a gift to a family member. Android is different obviously and the Tab is pretty nice. Have not found fault with anything yet other than reading and learning. Need to do a lot of reading about securing my privacy on it.

Family member needs Windows but wanted something portable. I was tired of waiting and decided to pull the trigger on the tax free weekend. The Hp still won't be here for about another week. Must be coming from China or something. If they aren't happy with it. I will trade them my tab. I did not go with a Nvidia Shield because it looks like it is having manufacturing problems and I just don't want to deal with it. I am leaving soon. Anyway thanks all for the help. I know I ventured off from what I originally thought I wanted. I'm happy so far.

The Hp feels kind of cheap given the initial price tag before the sales. Windows 8.1 is definitely nice using it like a mobile device. Grown use to android though so. I definitely like the Samsung more for build quality. I see where mmo pricing schemes are being taken from as well. Holy cap mobile games must make a killing. Hopefully the person does not want to trade that is getting the Hp.? like this tablet. Still getting use to it and glad I didn't go bigger.

Guess that's that for this thread thanks for the advice info.

Definitely sure they will like it. Wasn't a lot of choices currently as far as how they would use it. I'm sure there will be more by the end of the year but she needed something now.
