I would appreciate it if he left a reply elaborating about this "a game of characters" statement.

Had 6 months in closed beta + 1 week GP after release.. well I've managed to have 2 level capped toons (one on each side) and I'd like to hear from these memorable characters as well. I just remember the cute Lopp Clan in Whitevale + 1-2 other NPCs. The rest was bland and stupid. For me WildStar was a soulless grinding MMO with a quite uninteresting overall story.

It's obvious; you've sped through the content so bloody fast. Having 6 level capped toons 3 months after launch only proves this. It's doubtful you even read quests or became even slightly familiar with the lore that was provided.

EDIT: I stand corrected 6 toons on BOTH sides... 12 total? Jeez, your chair must have a nicely worn dent.

Apparently you missed the "4 months in closed beta". Of the 6 level 50 characters 5 where played during the beta. When the game went live i leveled one Exile spellslinger bound to be my raiding main toon.

Furthermore, when it comes to questing i am a completionist. I do not leave an area unless every single quest solo or group is done. And i do care about lore and back story, a lot. Prior to release i searched every bit of info about the dominion, the exiles and the races trying to acclimate myself to the games world. I do this in all mmo's i play. But WS's story and lore are as generic as it can get and the way both are presented in game was just not my liking.

Well, there ya have it, you've answered your own question. There are no memorable characters for you, because you simply didn't like it.

How you had the fortitude to level 12 toons to cap, in a game you dislike, is beyond comprehension.

Again, 6 toons, five during beta. The entire guild was participating and all of us leveled classes to the cap in order to decide faction and class selection.

In retrospect i can say that what kept me going was the guild itself. A guild i'm in since 2006. So, i tried to like the game and convince myself that it would be my mmo for the years to come. Finally i gave up and cancelled my subscription.

Oh, my mistake, 5 toons in 4 months is still quite the feat for this game. It's nice that you had a strong guild to help this along. Yet, it's probably good that you gave up and moved on. It seems like you gave it a good try though, but knowing that you dislike it, moving on is a good choice.

I could forgive the loony toon graphics if it actually had a decent story. I know a lot of comparisons can be made to Warcraft graphics but that IP at least has some epic lore and I think that has contributed greatly to its longevity.

Wildstar to me is nothing but a generic soulless game that basically should have come out around 2006-07 when the market was still interested in themepark gear treadmills.

This. I never made it to Level 20. Just couldn´t stomach the terrible story and writing. The quests were as generic and boring as can be!

Just couldn´t bring myself logging in anymore and continue.

1)best action fast paced mmorpg combat  i have ever seen after tera(whether you can handle it or not) WARNING FOR NOOBS, CASUALS, WHINERS AND HATERS: don't enter wildstar if you can't aim/dodge or have high reflexes, it is challenging not like any other game you have played each and every CC SKILLS can be dodged or countered with a diffrent mean whether it is disarm ( you have to jump and run to take your disarmed weapon from ground, stun (just spam f key not a very good counter but np),knockdown( use the dodge button), blind( use cc debuff skill), tethered (destroy the tether) and more can't remember

2)best housing system until now in any game i have ever seen( you can even have secret dungeons to enter for yourself and your neighbors only to loot O_O, low gravity mountains and full customizable/editable items)

3)new ideas (paths, classes(medic, spellslinger and esper), new races( mordesh(zombie like), mechari(robot like), chua(hamster like) ) all in a sci fi cartoonish humourish themepark niche hard core mmorpg called wildstar

    4) best pve i have ever seen in any game you got lots of things to do (  challenges,quests,dungeons,adventures,raids(20 and 40 men),jumping puzzles and dailies) within different zones and monsters

    5) i would say their pvp too is enourmous it is HUGE (3 different battlegrounds, 1v1,3v3,5v5 arenas, 40v40 warplots and world pvp between opposite factions)

    6) the limited action set + amps+ tiers + role(dps, heal and tank) makes you different than any other guy with the same class you are

    7) deep crafting system (mining, relic hunter, weaponsmithing, tailoring, cooking, gathering, harvesting, can't remeber the rest

8)best business model considered to be the second game that uses that model after eve online you simply buy the game but then you can get something called CREDD easily from in game gold and pay your monthly fee so you can simply play it free to play

9)with the quickest fixing and balancing response i have ever seen in any mmorpg believe me the DEVS ARE LISTENING AND HONEST

10)cinematics,dev speaks, trailers are on their site ( watch them and you will get everything you want to know)colours and art work are amazing maybe for me but it might shut off some of you

..Thanks for reading and those were my pros for wildstar please stay  tuned for my cons on wildstar

I was one of the biggest advocates for WildStar but it seems to me Carbine has made one misstep after another.  So many are disappointed with the game.  At its core, I still think it can be a great game and has a good skeleton mechanics-wise.  However, the implementation, patches, dev feedback, misconception of "hardcore" vs. "timesink" etc., really ruined the experience for me.  I'm stunned at the overwhelmingly positive intro to this article, to say the least.
