ArcheAge: Founders' Head Start Begins

Players who prepurchased the Founders' Packs can now access the four day early access program for ArcheAge. The game will launch for all other players on Tuesday, September 16th.
The last stage of ArcheAge’s journey to launch on September 16 begins this week! Head Start, our four-day pre-launch event, kicks off this week on Friday, September 12 at 10:00 AM PDT (GMT-7) and running until 8:00 AM PDT (GMT-7) on Tuesday, September 16! Players who participated in Open Beta will not need to redownload the entire game client, only an incremental patch to Version 1.2 Build 4.9. This build represents ArcheAge’s launch features but may not be the final patch before launch.
While all Beta progress will have been wiped, there will not be a wipe between Head Start and launch: all characters and their progress will be retained. It’s important to note that Head Start is an exclusive event for ArcheAge’s Founders: any Founder’s Pack will grant you immediate access and bonus perks. Founders can patch to the latest build right now via Glyph.

For me as someone that enjoyed WoW on a Vanilla pvp server with all the skirmishes that happened throughout the open world and those battles we used to see at Southshore and Tarren mill this is the best mmo in ten years . Its taken that long but finally I have found something that I enjoy as much maybe even more than Vanilla WoW .

This is like devs have come up with all sorts of instancing in the past years. I think this is going to hurt ArcheAge, not having instanced housing/farming. I realize that instances would ruin the game's economy, I just don't think people will accept the fact that they just cannot have something that somebody else has no matter what they do. That shit is for real life, not games.

I played the beta and enjoyed what little I played. But, I'm over these launch headaches. I too will wait a little while before I try it again.
ok so i think u are NA player because iam founder too and EU is so f**** up we dont have yours founder items dc every 10-15min long queues patrons dont have patron status and best one of them Authentication code problem waiting 8hours for that authentication code and nothing and they said we are working on it... yea in ur dreams trion they totally dont care about EU playerbase

I do not recommend to start playing AA on official launch (tuesday). If headstart is any indication you will not have much fun. Never play on a launch/patch day.
Yes EU is pretty much down the drain. Got no founder items, tons of DC's, crazy queues, all land plots gone in about 4 hours when most people where waiting in those crazy queues.
Servers are cracking at the seams today again, my server seems to go down all the time....

I'm in Canada and can't log into glyph. Says I need to authenticate which I did do and played yesterday for hours. Waiting for a code. Yes that sucks about founders items. Hope you get them soon.
So the 1st day of Archage has been a blast! "NOT" So far they have had massive que isue, disconnect and log in issue. As forme the time of posting on the NA server they have been having login failed issue and the start video looping and unable to esc out of. The is not a lot of information being given on their forums or the twitter account. Only information is

Being as players have paid from $50.00 to $150.00 to get a haed start this is a bit of a failure.
*NOTE* The Eu server is up and able to log in to and it pouplation is twice that of the NA server
DONT BUY HEADSTART its a complete rip off. Couldnt get in yesterday for HOURS then got in. NO BONUSES. After many hours get them.
Go to log in today and hooray, no queu but that is ok beause you CANT LOG ON. If you get by the continuoslly looping cut scene and make it to server load you fine out upon entering game you have been "Disconnected by the gods".
Now I cant even get into glyph log in.
I will never buy another Trion product and wont play one even if it is free. They have screwed me enough now.
Still waiting for a decent sandbox game, this is not it IMO. Land mass is far too small, good luck finding plots of land after the first couple weeks. The player base will shrinking once the ganking begins as many really don't realize how much pvp plays a part in this game. The pvp ruleset is what I expect of a developer who does not grasp the delicate balance pvp plays in a game like this.
I won't even go into the straight jacket that LP puts the crafters in.
For all of you playing, enjoy it while you can, the game really has no staying power.
Pretty much. On my server (EU Dahuta) all safe zone land was taken within 8 hours of the servers opening, and now some ~24 hours since the servers opened most land in the PvP zones have also been claimed.
My clan went into the game with a launch plan however and almost every member obtained 2x 16x16 spots + the small farm, inside the Two Crowns zone. Although some were unfortunate and missed out because of disconnects followed by 4+ hour queue's.
Most people complaining about the land either were unlucky with disconnects followed by queue's, or didn't put it the required effort to compete with organised players. Don't be too concerned however, a lot of land will start clearing up after about two weeks as people fail to pay taxes for whatever reason.
My advise to anyone thinking of buy a founders pack for this game, Coming from a 150$ founder. Don't buy it. Head start was a joke for >NA< players. took 3 hrs to get loged in after the Queue, then after about a hr the server kicks you and you have to log in again if it don't error out, your back in a 1.5 to 3 hr Queue again. I did this 10 times. After 5 hrs I finally found a plot to put my house and was disconnected again, loged in 2 hrs later to have no land to be found to place anything. As for day 2 we still have not been able to log in and stay connected for longer than 60 seconds. Personally I feel the only way to fix this mess for the founders is to wipe all server closed everything down. Find out what the problems is that causing this. Then and only then Try for head start again. Right now Everyone did not have a fair advantage to be able to get into the game, quest do what's needed then get the land that you and your guild has planed to get for a month. Worst Release of a MMO in a very long time. I have been gaming since 1996, been alpha and beta testing for years. This one took it to a hole new level. I will not be part of another buy in to a game again for a long time because of this.
