That is why they should have run open beta for a full month allowing lots of players to participate to work out all kind of server related problem. This is a disaster, unprofessional and careless, after they fix all of these they should compensate founder pack buyers.

If this were not the case, how else would we see the same kind of threads with every new game releasing. You can blame marketing, the devs, the industry, etc. However, it's really the players giving the power for such a cycle.
It's the way the world. Look at the iphones, TV's, videocards craze when the 'newest' one comes out. It's a pattern we all need to adapt to, or maybe one day, in one voice say 'Enough!'.
Pioneerstew, I agree with you. Which is why we don't fall for hype like many here did. If people could learn that they are being manipulated by clever adds and buzzwords, developers would have a harder time finding suckers to buy the products to rush out.

My complain is not directly to queues itself, is about other issues that made queues even worse, like the afks are not well managed.
And for what i read around, things are worse in EU servers. (not sure ofc)
Would be nice if devs would think of the small stuff before launch like an auto boot to AFKer who use macros to stay moving and fool the system. But any new MMO is not gonna catch all the dumb stuff people do as people always find new ways to abuse the system not matter what system is put in place. My self I have been MMOing forever and no longer play new MMOs at launch unless its something I am dying for for a very long time lol.
I have patron/Trailblazer status and so far in the last several days my wait in queue has been in excess of 8+ hours each day. I have yet to log in for the last 5 days; I shut the game down out of frustration. I'm currently waiting with 2889 ahead of me which to be fair is 100 less than I started out with yesterday
I was able to play for a few hours during "Head start" but I kept getting booted..log back on game -would have to wait in queue ..in other words rinse and repeat.
The result of the long LONG queues is that when people finally do get in they STAY in, either in game or stay in the character selection portion -which doesn't currently have an AFK kick. This is perpetuating the problem and I'm sure it is only going to get worse this weekend. Good luck to anyone who wants to give this game a try.

I am happy to see that i am not the only one. Not that i really care, i have time. It's just the state this game is in with the ridiculous prices they ask for packs that i feel this should be reported and saved for posterity so our children don't make the same mistake and buy Alpha packs from companies that are just trying to make a quick buck.

Patron status for many people is broken right now. So you may think you have patron but in reality you are in the F2P queue...
There was an update on the trion forums that they were going to be running a script to fix the problem but so far no luck...
Also saw another post that said that the patch yesterday broke the patron status display in the server select screen. So you can't even tell if you account is trying to log in with patron status.
So far no luck. Never actually got into the game because either the queue freezes or i go sleep. But hey, that is not stopping me from trying and continuing this epic thread of failure for AA.
