ADULTS 18-49 (SEASON TO DATE) 3.312 million - "Sleepy Hollow" 2.390 million - "Almost Human" 2.236 million - "The Following" 2.194 million - "Bones" 1.633 million - "Glee" 1.004 million - "Rake"
TOTAL VIEWERS (SEASON TO DATE) 7.458 million - "Sleepy Hollow" 6.643 million - "Bones" 6.242 million - "Almost Human" 5.187 million - "The Following" 3.466 million - "Glee" 3.261 million - "Rake"
If it was, The Following, Glee, and Rake would all share the same fate.
The cost to produce each episode is also a big factor. I'm pretty sure it's cheaper to produce an episode of Glee than an episode of Almost Human. AH would have had to hit 7.5-10mil views p/episode for FOX to consider a renewal.
Makes me feel sad that amazing sci-fi shows like Firefly and Almost Human get cancelled after one year and mediocre shows like Defiance gets a third season.
Do people just switch on their televisions and walk out of the room these days?
While I suffer because Firefly is cancelled so I can relate, I don't personally consider Defiance mediocre at all, I love the show. The game on the other hand is another story. They are about to release a patch called the Aftermath, and to me I want to be quoted as saying, the Aftermath of what? The Great Loot Nerf? Because that would be an Aftermath in my book considering they haven't learned why people play these games yet. Apparently some of these developers just think people login for the heck of it? Where is the reward part of the rewarding experience.
iam happy to see mmos and corp fighting back the trolls bad mouthing games on social media.
i dotn play defiance any longer- but respect that they are constantly updating and fixing things for current fanbase.
i do however still watch the show. and i had a blast with the game at launch!
Constantly fixing for the cash shop you mean? Like contineously nerfing loot drops, to push People into the cash shop? /shrug
Defiance is only shooter game what I playing and have no idea what you talking about, I am never spend money in cash shop. All stuff I am get in game and have no limitations in fun.
as a "Defiance the game" veteran aka ("lock keeper") I am here to tell you Trion has done very little for the defiance community on the whole. drama from start to finish really. unfortunately playing defiance is like crack. and Trion is like your dealer. wouldn't call them friends, just something you have to deal with. the community is just happy if they leave it enough alone and stop breaking things that don't need fixing. as far as the show, the tie-ins are mere codes shown on each episode that gamers can enter for the odd bit of junk. there's no crossover because the storyline in game hasn't progressed in any real sense since launch. (I'm not counting voice recordings of God knows who, talking about God knows what),
but since the show is a mess of unfinished plots, exhausted themes, unnecessary and often uncomfortable sexual interaction between confusing characters, I'm glad that drivel doesn't cross over. to be honest, the original game storyline in the game was more interesting than what syfy has spat out.
but let's not look too closely at the whole thing, log in, get your shooting fix, tune in and get your interspecies lovin fix but in both cases take a shower afterwards. what you did is dirty.

Firefly was good but not great, I am sick of hearing the internet cry over Firefly, this show became a internet fade and everyone seems to jump on the bandwagon over how great it was, and it was good but not great, Defiance is good and IMO better the Firefly, no BSG but getting there, give it time, now I am sure Firefly with time could of been great but its done get over it, and it sucks its gone but its time to move on and support another scifi.

What you say is blasphemy! "Firefly was GREAT, not just good", there FTFY.
I loved Farscape. So much imagination in that series. Nowadays with such advanced CGI you would think they can do better stories. There was that one what was it called where people went back in to Dinosaur time TerraNova I think which was so bad. The dinosaurs were very well done but they forgot a good story.
Farscape they managed amazing stories on a showstring budget. This is why great special effects are useless if you do not have good writing.
I also loved Firefly . I enjoyed also Star Trek series a lot.

I liked that character the first season. In the second season he turned into just another bitter dick.
Imo, the second season was no where near as good as the first.
Lost my mind, now trying to lose yours...
Wow, people's opinions are all over the place.
Personally, I felt the first season was pretty flat, but this last season was fairly epic. Giving me those DS9 vibes.

and believe it or not im a fan of the game
the defiance slogan:
"it has so much potential".
And I agree with them. I feel that Season 2 was much better than season 1 and made me appreciate the show even more. Bring on Season 3!
No signature, I don't have a pen
MMOs Played: I can no longer list them all in the 500 character limit.

Move on.
I enjoy Defiance and IMO Season 2 is even better than the first, so S3 is good news......
"I like it"
I will give this though; Defiance IMO is a pretty good show. Dig'n it, and the game too.
