So does that mean that wow wins AGAIN?! Damn, wow is the mmo slayer. Makes all other mmos look inadequate.

Wow - destroying MMO hopes and dreams for the last 10 years. Damn!

Mission in life: Vanquish all MMORPG.com trolls - especially TESO, WOW and GW2 trolls.

Kinda true, since so many had high aspirations of stealing WoW's number one spot and failed miserably.

So it definitely crushed the hopes and dreams of a lot of ambitious devs. :P

My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

Unfortunately, I think Archeage figures so highly on Reddit because it's the go to site to find out what the hell is going on when the game is having problems. It can take hours before Trion tell us anything on the official site when the servers are unavailable etc.

I remember when Warhammer Online was #2 as well as Star Wars the Old Republic was treading WoW.

Goes to show you there is a market for players that are looking for that mmo they can call home.

The Old Republic really isn't doing that bad these days.

There is some information in this article.

Except the source material was supplied by, you guessed it, Superdata, which makes it about as legit as Xfires guesstimates image

Let's wait one more little month for the release of Draenor... and we'll really see who kills who image

WoD will mostly affect PvE MMOs like FFXIV and GW2. I don't think AA's PvP crowd can be enticed by WoW's overall weak PvP.

Bad Data is worse than no data at all....

If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.

Yeah dude. You got me. I'm just trolling you guys. Reddit, Google, Raptr, Twitch, even this website, we are all trolling you. ArcheAge is actually a huge failure. Thankfully we have quality subscription MMOs like ESO and Wildstar that will save the genre.

There we go. In another thread you claimed that ESO is completely deserted. Would you be so kind and use your analytical methods, including Reddit, to back this claim?

As stated, a better tracker, albeit far from perfect, is raptr and x-fire because those at least track who's actually PLAYING the game and don't include haters/disgruntled founders/trolls/whatever.

The problem with X-fire or Raptr is they track playtime not the number of players, 1 playing 100 hours is the same as 100 playing for 1 hr.

"The Problem" is people being incapable of accepting that they can't know something, like a game's population.  Point out the flaws and the ways the numbers are demonstrably wrong all you want and the response will be "bad numbers are better than no numbers", or something similar.

I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
