I don't think some people know what an extremely extremely bloody history feminism has against men, most of them knowing it are actually women.
You will not find a historian who supports feminism.
The major history of feminism, played itself out during the White Feather Campaing of WW1, the women movement handed shaming feathers to all men who didn't participate in the war, also marking doors of men, just like nazis did with jews. Many men suicided, from shame, many veterans suicided, many regular men died in the war bc they were untrained, many untrained men were used on the front line. How men, recruited with the white feather movement, were used on the front lines only to serve in the army for a few days before they got killed was outright disgusting. This recruiting tactic allowed the feminist movement to quickly gain power.
Let alone the social impact that campaign had and the disastrous psychlogical impact on men. Many men suicided because a white feather was often given to get rid of your husband, he would be sent to war and often die, and the woman often was sleeping with the enemy, leading to many men suiciding, from shame, from hopelessness. If he didn't die on the battlefield, he would often take his own life because he was rejected by not only his wife, but by his family, weapons being so plentiful during a world war, it should not come as a surprise, many men decided to kill themselves.
Feminism cost the lives of thousands...yes thousands...of men. I can not stress this point enough...the EQUALITY movement is VERY different from the feminism movement. Feminism has a bloody history.

Not only did the feminism movement kill thousands of men, it were women who rallied AGAINST the movement, in support of their husbands and sons. It is one thing to be for equality, it is quite another to use the most precious thing on Earth, the life of a person, for your own political agenda.

This is an incredibly ignorant statement / viewpoint. The people who make these threats are not rational thinkers, they arent living in the real world, so no real world threat of punishment is going to stop it from happening. Locking them in a cell for 50 years doesnt help them either, it only compounds the problem. I do think that they should be locked away until they can be rehabilitated as they are a threat to society.
Feminism is stupid, by its very definition and in practice. Fighting for the equality of the sexes while simultaneously promoting the agenda of one sex and casting aside the other. It's hypocritical and ignorant in its best form and life destroying in its worst.

Hope Solo beats her husband, her neighbor, and her nephew, keeps her sponsors, still plays her sports, and still is on national TV.
This country bends over backwards for women when it matters most, yet they still complain when there's some random cleavage in a video game targeted at men.
I will never condone death threats, and people who make them do need special treatment. But her views are just as ignorant as his. He will be punished and he will get help for his mental illness. She, on the other hand, will continue to spew hatred under the guise of 'feminism' and 'equality'.
I certainly understand the outrage.
Obviously the guy needs to account for his actions, but after reading the entire article, it sounds like almost everyone involved behaved badly at some point in this fiasco.
This speaks volumes about the general behavior of gamers, and less about male or female gamers, IMO.
So this is the justification for the death threats then?
I suppose there are other things I could comment on, like the fact that the person in the article was a typewriter mechanic so this article is pretty old, that he was a conscientious objector, which would have been an unpopular opinion at the time, and the fact that nowhere in the article is feminism mentioned.
This post is rhetoric, with nothing to back it up, and the one piece of evidence to back it up doesn't back it up. This post is just stupid, and this thread probably isn't going to get any better.

Of course it's old, it's from WW1, from a newspaper. You're not going to find reason behind the feminist movement in a newspaper from 2014.
The white feather campaign is well documented in hundreds of books. and newspapers, with accounts of thousands of people.
Do you deny WW1 happened too or something? Why do say such things?

Do you think this is fake or something? I don't know why you think that. It's not.

Oh wait, that's your post and your other one just before this one. Even assuming feminism was somehow killing people by subverting their free will and ability to make decisions, it's not killing anyone in the video game industry. It looks like the only people under threat of death or even harm are the "feminists".
Gamers decried their hobby being seen as the cause of school shootings, and now some gamers are using the threat of school shootings to try and shut down a discussion. A discussion. The stupidity of this is staggering. It is insane. It may have been possible to reasonably discuss the points of Anita and others, demonstrating that not only is the gaming industry fairly inclusive, it is pretty progressive in a lot of ways and getting more progressive as time goes on. But no. It's too late for that now. Now those guys who feel they are being marginalized and who feel like they are no longer the center point of the video game industry really are going to get marginalized and the video game industry really is going to shift away from them. The discussion has more or less ended. Now it's going to be about sales. It doesn't take a genius to see how it's going to go from here.

I never mentioned gaming or the death threats in any of my posts, I was replying to a discussion about feminism. I don't condone death threats.

I'm not demonizing anyone, I personally would be ashamed to associate myself with a movement that caused so much pain and suffering for men. But it's a free country, or world sine I'm not form the US, so I'm not gong to judge people for it, not in the least because many are unaware of the history of feminism. These facts are news to the majority of people I show this or hand them books about it.
That is completely irrespective of the death threats, which is unacceptable, even for people who disagree with her.

Just another lie. Whole "gamersgate" was based upon the fact that number of female game creators are using fake reports of treats and sexual services, for media coverage.
Crazy thing is that they continue to use the same tactics even after they are discovered. Probably only thing they know how to do ?
I've been playing MMO's since they were invented and I can say that cannot recall ever seeing a death threat in any general chat. I've seen lots of claims regarding intimate relations with mothers, but never a death threat.
The casual way many in the community say that death threats is a normal thing is troublesome since it's impossible to be 100% certain that a threat is real or fake. ALL threats should be treated as real. Staying quiet and acting like this is normal is insane.
The accusations against Zoe turned out to be proven false.

So there is a difference between a group of people and what one person says.
To us it appears that those are upset with people like Anita Sarkeesian are upset with what she is saying.
I put a challenge to you...what is Anita Sarkeesian saying? Because to be against what she is saying is very odd.
There are two problems with this.
1. Fair representation of genders and minorities within games is not something that can be fixed over night and definitely not through political debate. Capitalism drives this industry and the current campaigns are not going to change anything, they're taking the wrong approach for a capitalist industry.
2. Hooligans. Death threats are unfortunately common, but the mentality that spawns them is seen throughout the world and in anything that supports fandoms, not just the internet and games. This obvious comparison is sport fans, this has been tackled to a degree, but largely because they can identify the individuals and ban them from the events. When you add the internet, it is harder to do something like that. But it isn't a gaming thing, it is rife across all types of fandoms and demographics (Bieber fans being amongst the worst for this). So again, a few journalists talking about it isn't going to change anything.
As a white male gamer, no one cares to hear my opinion on how we fix 1, because I believe in equality and not feminism and I don't know how to fix 2.
So.. whatever, life goes on.
