The latest producer's letter has been published on the ArcheAge site. The discussion centers around this week's release of the Auroria zone and the difficulties players had accessing the game due to a nasty disconnect bug. In the future, the team has started making plans for smoother content releases.
Among the things that we’re doing to avoid this in the future, we have accelerated our plans for a Public Test Server. It will be in place before the next major build is released. While we can’t guarantee that it would have caught this issue, we know that it would have had a higher chance of happening there, and as such, getting that new Test Server out there is among our highest priorities. Stay tuned over the next couple weeks for updates on the new Test Server.

The tldr version is,
"Hey everyone. Things went badly this week, we wish it hadn't, but we're not actually going to apologise, just make you think we are. We didn't bother having a test server, so we just threw the patch onto the live server and hoped for the best, but we're not going to do that again (we hope lol!). We're also not fixing anything NA users, sucks to be you. At least EU people are ok. As for hacks, most of you are wrong. ArcheAge is great, by the way.
Oh, and that 10% discount - you can't have it, but if you spend more on us we'll give you 10% extra, assuming that all works - who knows? We'll just blame XL Games.
Kisses, Trion"

I think Trion hired the PR guy from Iraq. You remember him? Each day he showed up saying how well Iraq was doing in the war. This producers letter is a slap in the face to all the games players.
After Rift, I was quite impressed with Trion. After Defiance I started to think Rift was a fluke but now after I see the way they handle customer support and publishing of this game, I know for sure that Rift was indeed a fluke and Scott Hartman is a lying sack of garbage.
No Tricks, No Traps - Out of labor points? Buy a potion from our store. Want to make the craftable chest? Spend $11 in the store. No traps here folks, just keep your eyes closed and keep your wallets open.
You all knew what you were getting into when you bought items and played the game. Why do you all act surprised? It is not a bad game, just don't play it for a farmville sim, or maybe, just maybe get into a good guild that helps each other out?
Call me a fan boy, but I enjoy my time and experience with Archeage. Do I feel cheated after I bought my way into alpha, beta and what not? Not really, I feel I have got my monies worth and then some. If you hate the game so much, back charge and stop playing, if you enjoy the game, then keep playing, you do not need to spend a dime to get patron status.

So anything involving new land in AA will have players having mysteries connection issues with bots claiming alot of if not most of the land.
BTW MMORPG.com you missed Update 15 for LoTRO which has only been out for three days.
Trion have always been the absolute top spin doctors with their interviews and producer letters.
If anything, Iraq would hire the Trion CEO for PR.
tha people's champ!!!!!!!!!
Wife and I stopped playing couple months ago - figured we'd wait for the connection problems and lag issues to be patched up and fixed.
We'll just uninstall after this, hehe. Thought Trion would handle this better but...yeah..
Owned!
Yeah when massively slams its favorite MMO you know things are a problem.
Yeah it is fun watching a F2P game implode on itself .
Nice bait-and-switch there on the supposed "10% discount on Marketplace purchases" for patrons. If they can do this so blatantly, what are they likely to do in the future ?

This benefit has been conspicuously absent ever since launch, but Trion promised (after some vigorous prompting) that it would be introduced Soontm
Turns out what it actually means is a 10% discount on Credit Pack (marketplace credits) purchases !
Why in the world is that a good thing?
“Microtransactions? In a single player role-playing game? Are you nuts?”

So true. They praised this game up and down.
I imagine from DMKano's perspective, it's because it happened in Archeage. And Archeage can do no wrong. Because Archeage can do no wrong, anything that happens in Archeage, including "so many folks being PISSED", must be a good thing!
