I got my death knight to 100  and got caught up on legendary ring, however with removal of flight, removal of tradeskills other than it being a cooldown fest, I feel like there is nothing to do.

Flight has been turned into a convenience only now since  you dont need nor can you sell gathered items since there is no tradeskilling. You really dont need flying at all... however I refuse to go through jumping puzzles to try to get to dailies and rare mobs, its just not worth it at all. Secondly like Panda land before it, I will not level another character without being able to fly WOTLK and Cata spoiled me in that regard.  I just dont like taking the time to go over the same ground on same quests over and over 11 or more times.

I know raids are releasing today but I only LFR which means another week of waiting and then only for 3 mobs of the total.... a whole 1 day next week possibly. woohoo

My char is all ready 635 ilvl I just want to raid, and make belt buckles/ gems like I used to, not be stuck waiting days for anything to do.

I suggest playing a different game then.  WoW is what it is.  You either like it or you don't... no gray area.

If you have 11 toons... you already knew what the game was going to be like before you even leveled your DK to 100.

I have 11 toons, so I know what the game is like.

try heroic dungeons , look for a friendly guild to make friends , old raids and dungeons , search for rare mounts , cool looking gear to transmog , do achievements , pvp with friends or guild .

there is alot of things to do, if you did all this already , it's time to move on ...

He must like WoD. He didn't even make it to level cap in MoP and only lasted two weeks.

WoW is moving in the right direction!

    Honestly I'm bored also.

Most of us don't play WoW to chain quest all day and the new areas look worse then any previous expansion so exploring is less exciting. Even with raid release today, it's only 1 easy raid of 7 bosses 1 month into release. Even by today's standards it's accurate to say WoD has almost zero endgame. Combined with fast leveling I see a mass exodus of players coming very soon.

First any chance you have a link or screenshot of your toon?  A few things you mentioned are nothing more than hater talking points that have zero credability.

Like the crafting complain "I want to make a belt". You are aware it took 28 days to create the top belt in MoP so not sure what your issue is here.  You are aware you can go outside your Garrison and mine, skin, pick, disenchant and everything else right?

Jumping puzzles for rares?  Only a few may require "jumping" only because you went the wrong way.  Almost every rare is roaming in the open.

    What dailies require a jumping?

A friend convinced me to try FFXIV again.  Then I discovered WoD had released, so I cancelled for the second (and last) time.

I've got 2 lvl 100's already and I'm still excited.  "Jumping puzzles"?  lol  There's nothing as complex as a GW2 "jumping puzzle" in this game, so I can't really agree with you there, but after Cata and MoP, I'm finally loving WoW again.  Good features, good story, good dungeons, and fast fluid combat.  And that's all I'll say on here, maintenance should be over by now.

Like someone said in my server chat yesterday, the game really is more World of Waitcraft now.  I got 6 characters to 100, each ilvl630. One of the characters was boost and another was leveled from 1-100 after WoD release. The game does get old pretty fast and raiding isn't really going to change that. Crafting cooldowns were a big mistake imo but there's also the fact that the system seems a little lazy than previous expansions. Sure the story is pretty excellent but 10 levels of passives? could've gave me at least one new ability aside from level 100 which is only really 2 abilities since most classes seem to have 1 lvl 100 talent that is a passive. I did feel I got my money's worth with the story but its not worth subbing another month.

I'm very bored with this game. I thought maybe this xpac would be something different, but all it did was give people more to do alone and less reason to group up. All the content is the same. The garrison is boring.  I'm level 99 and don't even care about getting to 100.

OK, to the one guy belt buckles are a lot different than belts.... Right click extra gem slot on waist. That item.

Crafting is gutted, everything is gated behind daily cooldowns and the cool down created mats are bound. You cannot bypass the gate( you can farm primals to bypass but they to are bound an literally takes 10 for 1 single trade... 1 piece of armor takes 1000 primals.  Totally ridiculous.

For the daily quest with jumping puzzle try getting a stable and getting to darkwing ROC (whatever you do don't fall. Corpse unretrievable so you have to use that rez an wait 10 minutes for stats to come back.

Personally, I hate quests... I play mmo for the mm part. Quests, dailies, rep grinds are solo aspects boring me to tears. Sadly I work and school full time so lfg and lfr is all I can do when I get done with responsibilities. Overall I don't matter and am just a drop in the bucket, but this expansion while fun. It just removed too much from the game. I used to log on and  fly around harvesting to make stuff. That is impossible now. I have made two items since expansion hit... Ridiculous.

Going to do barn quests takes almost an hour for six lousy quests. Totally time wasting sine mobs die in thirty to fourty seconds, and the rest is travel.

The fno flight was supposed to get people out in the world again, I have not left my garrison in over a week, I have nothing to sell. I don't need to harvest, my mine makes more than I use. I don't care about an apexis crystals, I will raid for epics, who wants welfare epics.

I have earth 10 and 25 man mounts had no luck with invincible, ashes, or the occulus mounts.

Putting crafting back would help a lot. Putting flying back might entice me to actually care about daily quests... as It is not so much.

Pff. Yea, if all you wait for is your $60 expac I can see how it would look like nothing happened in GW2.

If you actually played it you'd see the new story content they added. By now, that easily amounts to an expac's worth of time. Nevermind the other stuff you can do at max level, like WvW, fractals, dungeons, etc. You may not like that, but don't claim there isn't anything to do.

I gotta say... the sheer amount of crap added... I think the OP is... well just whiny.

    **** EDIT *****

I typed a big long spiele about all the things there are to do... even I'm impressed.  But the OP has an agenda and I'm not falling for it... thus... I delete my spiele and laugh at him.

Show me a game with 1/4 of the stuff WoW currently has to do.

fractals at some point are repetitive , WvW seems a bit dead, i'm on dragonbrand and hardly found someone , and dungeons are the only thing that saves the game (and the exploration), but i see little changes in dungeons or new dungeons, but still, living story is bad and the story is boring ...

and also , the only endgame i got was endless grind for gold.

dont get me wrong , i love gw2 , i love the design but seriously , the game had a lot of potential to be the best, but this "living story" ended the game.

  • BladestromBladestrom Member UncommonPosts: 5,001
It didn't 'end' the game for me, it still exists but I've shelved if until they expand, it's a shame but the benefit of their design is that I will be back like a shot when they deliver a big chunk of content (zones/skills/gw1 style raiding)

    rpg/mmorg history: Dun Darach>Bloodwych>Bards Tale 1-3>Eye of the beholder > Might and Magic 2,3,5 > FFVII> Baldur's Gate 1, 2 > Planescape Torment >Morrowind > WOW > oblivion > LOTR > Guild Wars (1900hrs elementalist) Vanguard. > GW2(1000 elementalist), Wildstar

Now playing GW2, AOW 3, ESO, LOTR, Elite D

Kind'a agree with you. I have 22 alts, before Wod all leveled to max, 11 alliance, 11 horde.

So far leveled with great joy only rogue to 100. I never hurry, I play all of them at same time. But with at least one alt I'm usually ahead for 5 levels. For the first time in all this years I'm already slightly (very slightly, but this has usually happened only after 3-4 months of gameplay) kind'a bored. But this is debatable, as I have been playing this time more then usually with release, nearly day & night. :-) And could be I'm getting older and at the end have been playing nearly approx 8 years.

I have however complain about flight removal, tradeskills, .... and even if convenient a lot and love garrisons ... Stormwind and other cities are because of this empty, ghost towns. Never felt like this in wow. At least bank and AH should stay only there.

And liked a lot scenarios (now gone) for fresh max levels from Pandaria.

Not to mention that abomination of new models.

And I just can not understand silly idea they had with transmog instead of implementing simple WARDROBE sets!

And not to speak we have still ONLY DUAL. Sorry Blizzard, but dual spec we have been waiting so much is just better then nothing. Rift had muliple builds at wish since day 1. And wardrobe slots.

Still, wow is best game ever made for me and nothing changed.

You should start a thread, manipulate your opinions into facts, when people question you tell them they are trolls.  I think that should cover it.

WoW is moving in the right direction!

WOW is moving in the direction of being a single player game.  Right now, the gameplay is so isolated, you rarely see another player unless you are synced up, quest-wise, or in the anti-social dungeon finder, where folks treat each other like strangers in a commuter train terminal.

Personally, I do NOT see WOW moving in the right direction.

Yeah that's not the games issue that's your issue. The majority of the time I do lfd somebody starts off with a hi or good morning and we end up chatting most of the dungeon.  In the world every day I get my crystal daily I go to the area LFG in chat and have a full group in min.  Again good mornings and hi are exchanged comments out gear, mounts, and how you like the expansion are common place.

So again it's not the game moving in the wrong direction it's how YOU are playing the game.

Gw2 is mostly achievement grind and gold grind. I can do that in wow too and in wow you actually have way more achievements pets mounts and collectibles.

gw2 is the definition of no endgame.
