Unfortunately the reason we rarely hear about the bad sides of TSW is because there simply isnt enough players that is interested in that game anymore. Its linear game, with very little to keep players interesting in the long run.
TSW has 2 good things, some pretty awsome graphics and some of the best immersive quests, but it is heavily torn down by poor combat and the lack of things that can be repeated. The game feels empty with the low amount of people that is interested in the game.
It is worth a look however.

ArchaAge also has some great graphics and the combat might be a bit old'ish but the real trouble comes in the amount of bots and other ways you can cheat. The housing system sucks and the areas really lack innovation. Players feel stuck to a certain way of playing the game and the majority of players have left after the first few weeks.
Does anyone else wonder if some of the match ups in round one were different? Some of the match ups seemed like weak game going against weak game or strong game going against strong game. I know in everyone's mind, its never going to be perfect, but I am just curious.
At my time of commenting Guild Wars and Dungeons and Dragons Online were literally 50% each in votes. I find that to be immensely satisfying for some reason.

Dungeon and Dragons Online out ranks a lot of Newer MMO's and it just keeps on developing new content and concepts. It gives you ways, other than grinding out kills, to acquire experience for your characters. It has kept up with great graphics and storylines that are true to it's heritage.
I know it's cool to hate on Destiny atm but in no way is TESO better then any of these games, let alone Destiny. TESO doesn't even approach the popularity of Destiny and everyone I know in RL that tried TESO quit in a week, including myself.
And DDO over the original Guild Wars? Give me a break.....DDO is an abomination to D&D fans everywhere.
Haha... people always get angry at the match-ups. Even in sports when everyone is playing the exact same game under the exact same rules. The chance you'll please people? Absolutely 0 .

I have my doubts WoW will win. This site has been a notorious nesting ground for WoW haters. WoW should win based upon the fact that the game has completely dominated the mmo scene for a decade now...that alone shows the quality of the game regardless of what the detractors might think.
We are voting for the best MMO. WoW is so big because it keeps on catering to the lowest common denominator, it wants soo badly to remain the largest game on the market because that in itself has become it's greatest selling point. The aim nowadays is to stay safe and in doing so it sacrifices every ounce of originality, innovation and inspiration it once may have had.
Thank you! WoW is a great game, but this point shouldn't be overlooked.

The way the games are split into new/old I don't think that's possible. I can see(hope) EvE vs WoW in the veteran section but in the final I think it will be Newbie vs Veteran.

Comeon, this will be easy, its not about the quality of the game its about the gems of the MMORPG community.
EVE will go along way because its the truest sandbox out there, even though its a shitty game.
WoW will go all the way because now its popular to like WoW because the last few years it
has been unpopular to like WoW. WoD is fine, but its not the reason people like it on this site
TSW will go far as well because its the darling of the MMORPG community.

LoTRO is the poor man's WoW clone. The choice was easy.
Hope so, have played both and SWTOR is times better in every single aspect.
Surprised how LOTRO is crushing EQ, but then, 90% of the voters might never have played EQ at times it was still the Giant leading the pack...
so far my money would be on ESO and GW2 for the new games with TSW being a possible surprise..
while I dont see any competition for WoW inits own cattegory (lotro or eve quallifying for runner up here), but can it hold off the newer games
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)
How can D and D online beat the original Guild Wars? Talk about verifying this sites reputation for the worse.
I am also curious why are all the SWTOR people so adamant about their game. I think both are good games and have no issue with either one winning.
IMO Destiny isn't a MMO and should not be in this competition. It's not hate it's incorrect genre (an issue with some voters I would gander a bet).
