If somebody really wanted to they could make a game on PC that blows everything on console out of the water. Studios like Naughty Dog, 343 Studios, Suker Punch, Turn 10 and Gorrila Games are just so much better at what they do.
That is a very subjective statement. There isn't game by any of those studios that I care for.
This has nothing to do what you or I care for.
Well you definitely imply that by saying what you did, again you made a very subjective statement.
If its subjective then prove it. What games look better?
What do looks have to do with your statement? There's a lot more to pushing hardware than making it "look" good.

First off your idea that a game must look better to show it is pushing current hardware is a joke. Alot of games have so many computations that some current hardware is struggling to suffice with it. I'd like to see a console run any of the newer Total War games at full graphic settings, IL2 Battle for Stalingrad at full graphics, There are plenty of games out there that neither of the consoles could run very well if they were ported. Hell read the new dev post by CDprojekt regarding the Witcher 3, he said "if you want the best looking game run it on PC".
The games I listed look better then the games you just named so what makes you think it cant run those games?

But they also have the hardware specs on hand that never changes so yes they can push the hardware to its limit. PC's vary on everything and what works for one computer wont work for another even though they might meet the specs for the game. Sure you can create a monster game that only runs on the top 1% of computer but whats the point if you wont make a return on it?
Thats why we have graphic settings. Remember when PC games like Crysis , Metro, Doom 3, Half Life 2, Far Cry were all exclusive to PC and looked better then anything on a console.
I'm not sure what point you are trying to make or even if you are arguing for your original argument anymore lol

I heard what I said. Still waiting on somebody to post games that look better.
These games look really good to running on $350 - $400 consoles
Fully agree.
I just like my games to look and run even beter even if that means I might miss out on some great console exclusive tittle's.
These game look great and run great. They don't have performance issues.
Sorry but where did you read me say that they don't look great or have performance issue's?
you might have missed the now highlighted red word.
Ok, lets do this this way.
You said you like your games to look and run even better. What games look and run better?
Sorry but don't know what your problem is. I feel console games look great yet I have a personal preference and you seem to not like that?....... Really?

Couldn't agree more....there are a ton of games out there pushing PC hardware that don't look that good but they have so many computations running that the horrible cpus the consoles have wouldn't be able to keep up.

It's no secret that PC has more powerful hardware, but the point you're forgetting is that most games are made to support the lowest common denominator. Meaning while you can attain greater graphical fidelity on PC, the console will hold such progress back (making your og statement kinda ironic). Take something like Star Citizen, made for the PC, will probably have better graphics than console games, yet will also have insane requirements. That's the way it goes.
As another poster pointed out there is a difference between developing for a certain pinpointed specification, like consoles, optimization is much easier to achieve. Hence why SC is doing what they're doing.. it will probably run fine on the recommended hardware, yet run like crap on anything lower. Eventually standard machines will catch up. It will hurt their overall market presence though, much like APB (required 64 bit machines), or EQ2 early on. Hence why devs stick to the lowest common denominator (budget hardware specs and/or consoles).

4K gaming won't be possible on PS4, or Xbone they have already stated it won't happen this generation, but its already happening on PC.
I love my PS4, and the graphics are great for what you pay for ($400) but saying it has the best looking games is a stretch, not even including all the extra features that the PC has that consoles don't. Like Mods, Multi monitor displays, I can use whatever controller I want to on the PC, and the list of extras that consoles can't do goes on.
Again I love my PS4, but it doesn't hold a candle to my gaming PC in capability
This is not about 4K. What games looks better then the ones I posted?

The Division in 4k Resolution looks amazing, but if you don't have a 4k monitor or TV you wouldn't be able to tell.
It does look amazing. I look forward to the console / pc comparison.
its funny how people keep naming games on PC that look FAR superior than his whole tirade on console games, yet he chose to ignore them all.
FACT: People can tell the difference between 30fps and 60fps
FACT: This generation of consoles is the first to fall FAR below the performance of the state of computers at the moment
FACT: Developers themselves are disgusted with the constraints Xbox One has put on them and are forced to downscale their games in order to meet the required 30fps, and even that falls short
Anyone who says otherwise at this point without using Google.com is just being a troll. Because the proof is in abundance ALL OVER THE INTERNET by ACTUAL REPORTS from third parties without any bias.

I own Killzone, The Order and Bloodborne. As for the others we will see but I don't think they will get downgraded. That only happens with 3rd party games. As for frame rate The Order still looks better then anything on PC.

^^^This.
I would also point out that anything ABOVE 60 fps is extremely difficult for the human eye to discern a difference. Not saying above 60 fps is a bad thing, just that it is not as much a selling point. If someone says "maxes out at 30 fps" then I say the game has pretty poor perfomance....console OR pc.
For me, I have given up on consoles just because they can not keep up with the performance of a pc. I would have to have a new console every six months to a year to do that. No thanks.
