The World of Warcraft site has been updated with a first look at the v6.2.0 PTR patch notes. Fans and players will be happy to note that the next update will contain a significant amount of content, something many players felt was missing from 6.1.0.
The Invasion of Tanaan Jungle will begin in v6.2.0, a completely new zone for players to adventure though. The zone will unlock for those with a Level 3 Garrison and who accept the mission called "War Council" that will require the construction of a shipyard. Tanaan will feature daily quests to assist players acquiring shipyard resources. Tanaan will also have open world questing with rares and hidden treasures throughout.
Completion of the shipyard will allow players to construct ships and to send them on naval missions. There is no further information at this time but the team promises much more as development progresses.
A new raid, Hellfire Citadel, will open up in the next update as well. It is located in Tanaan Jungle and will feature thirteen bosses including Kilrogg Deadeye, Gorefiend, reanimated Mannoroth and Archimonde himself.
Mythic dungeoneering will also be part of v6.2.0 that will allow players to pursue an alternative progression path that will reward gear up to iLevel 700. Mythic dungeons will have a weekly lockout similar to raids.
The conclusion of the Legendary Ring quest will also be included in the update, as well as a newly added Adventure Guide that will provide players with information similar to that found in the Dungeon Guide.
There are also some updates to Darkmoon Faire, changes to Spirit of Harmony vendors, new iLevel caps for non-PvP gear, collection additions, mount improvements, skill balance tweaks and more.
Check it all out on the World of Warcraft site.

It may sound like Tanaan is just becoming another daily quest hub, like all those in Pandaria. If so, I'll probably not participate at all.
Naval missions? Done from the same table as other missions? If so, it means nothing to me, though some new types of rewards may be interesting.
A new raid? Meh.
The patch will also nerf Warlocks heavily, for example all 5 affected abilities for Demo has each a 25% damage reduction.
I wish I could opt out, and avoid this patch...
rpg/mmorg history: Dun Darach>Bloodwych>Bards Tale 1-3>Eye of the beholder > Might and Magic 2,3,5 > FFVII> Baldur's Gate 1, 2 > Planescape Torment >Morrowind > WOW > oblivion > LOTR > Guild Wars (1900hrs elementalist) Vanguard. > GW2(1000 elementalist), Wildstar
Now playing GW2, AOW 3, ESO, LOTR, Elite D
This isn't a signature, you just think it is.
It seems that is what we all like and that is all that matters. Having fun in life to me is very important, others enjoy ridiculing others I suppose.
@OP; Anyway, I was working on a new Warlock but I think I will get back into my main and crank up my Garrison a bit more. The new area will be something to look forward to and I want to work on my pets a bit too!
Thanks again Blizzard for giving me the most entertainment value for my dollar!
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.
i guess it is called development budget... if something is only done by.. let´s say 20% of the game population... then it will only got 20% of the development budget... That is the harsh truth of it.
Also there is very little they can do with PvP in patches beyond a new arena or BG (and not every PvP player does both.. so that split said pool even further)
This have been a good conversation
While I do think that WoW has been and is still the best MMO out there, it's just not for me anymore. No matter what content comes out, everything just feels the same with different colors to me. I miss wow, but everytime I go back I'm disappointed. This is a personal thing, and I htink it's that way for many people that started playing at release.
-Unconstitutional laws aren't laws.-
So le'ts say 20% of the game population... Meaning 2 million paying customers. Twice the amount of the total playerbase of pretty much any other currently successful MMO out there. If the budget is so small 20% of the budget can't allow for throwing a bone to two million players they are seriously screwing their customer base hard. With 10 million players any budgetary excuses should be thrown out of the window.
It's more shocking to see the supposed superiority that some belive have on others.
Let everyone plays what they want.
I for one didn't mind the Pandaria dailies because I wasn't compelled to do them all every day like all the little whiners (all 10 of them) who campaigned on the Blizzard forums to have them removed. Turning that great big daily area into a big smoking hole in the ground was an incredible waste. I do agree with you though that it sounds like the dailies will be Garrison like so once again Blizz is taking the easy route with "click here to send follower on daily quest... log out, next day log in rinse & repeat"
Ive got some hopes for the Tanaan quest area, because frankly I've grown tired of LFR and endgame grind, there's nothing to get, so I've taken to running old dailies with my husband to farm mounts and other vanity stuff. Cleared old raids etc for achievements and mog gear.
The endgame is bland, you do dungeons, endlessly the same apexis quests, or you do the idiot zergfest that is LFR, where no one cares about what they do unless you shout sense into them. Real raiding is out of the question thanks to my daily schedule, so that's not an option.
So the new raid for me is a non-issue, though it will certainly be nice for people. Mythic dungeons? Great, as if I wasn't tired of the bosses already and pugs not grasping the simplest mechanics after dozens of runs, now we get to run them again. First normal, then heroic, then challenge, then mythic. Recycling at its finest, and it invalidates challenge modes which were just buffed in the last patch, once more. Do they want us to run those or not? They apparently can't make up their minds.
Meanwhile the brewmaster gets a nice generic pass to nerf its unique mechanic in favor of bog-standard gameplay, DKs get yet another buff as well.
The dailies for shipyard stuff sound.. like honestly just more of the same. Click the button, get rewards a few hours later. As if the garrison didn't make me tired of that already.
I'll stay around for Tanaan, but I've been enjoying Wildstar a lot lately, mostly for the truly excellent combat and the housing. The game has its flaws, but the next patch is promising improvements, and it keeps you on your toes way better than spamming 1,2,3 all the time.
There's still a lot of teenagers out there (and young adults with issues). It's the way it's always been, and it will always be. When you grow up and stop being a child, there's a new generation of children, and they usually enjoy something different. That's what Blizzard has done with WoW, and that's why it's still strong. They've changed to adapt, even though that means "becoming sh!t" for the rest of us.

My I ask what MMO you are playing that is so much more mature?
