YES I will definitely return to the game if it goes F2P/B2P.  I recently tried to go back with the 10-day free trial but with dead servers (I even switched to the PvE server) it was no fun. An MMO needs bodies to make it feel alive.

I had wildstar at release, enjoyed it till I got to about level 20 or so, then I started to relize other than the combat system its just another stupid wow clone, I did get my engineer to level cap, but I quit soon after due to losing almost all interest in the game.

Would I play it if it goes f2p? probally not, it'll still be the same boring wow-clone just with an action combat system, not particularrly intersted in mmorpgs like that anymore, FF14 is another one, its just a generic wow clone with a pretty final fantasy skin, i've also gotten mutiple jobs to level cap in ff14.

All in all, I think mmorpgs are stagnating in a cesspool of muck, its going to continue like this until they stop trying to dethrone wow, I hate WoW due to how it single handedly destroyed the mmorpg genre, its not a bad game in of itself though, it just ruined the genre since all devs really make anymore are bascally wow in a new skin. You'd think with how many wow clones have been failing the last few years they would learn their lesson.. but nope lol.

Protip: your not going to dethrone wow, it has 10 years of content, stop trying and stop copying it, do your own thing. People are getting sick of these mmorpgs that are bascally single player games with a text chat room, because thats what most of them end up being till level cap. Players these days won't group unless forced to, well most anyway. Bascally put if I wanted a single player game, i'd play a single player game, if I play a mmorpg I expect to be forced at all levels to group up to do stuff, it was always part of the genre till wow came. After Wow? well every mmorpg now a days is mostly a single player game with a irc chat room till level cap, even then you can only raid once a week(weekly reset) then you twiddle your thumbs for 6 days doing nothing. It kinda blows my mind why people keep a mmorpg account open when your like raiding 1 day a week and then they don't even login the other 6 days. when it gets to that point you may as well quit and move on, since getting better gear doesn't really advance your char any. just higher stats, but no new skills or anything anymore.

I am not trying to troll with this post, its just my honest opinion after looking at how bad the mmorpg genre has gotten in recent years.

Being a pessimist is a win-win pattern of thinking. If you're a pessimist (I'll admit that I am!) you're either:

    A. Proven right (if something bad happens)

    or

    B. Pleasantly surprised (if something good happens)

Either way, you can't lose! Try it out sometime!

Maybe the shops in Aus need shelf space and since no-one seems to be buying the boxes, the various companies decided to free up the space for something thats selling, or something thats about to go on sale..

    Nothing to see here !!

I'm currently playing Wildstar.  I've been absolutely impressed by how much it has improved since launch.  I think if it went B2P it would give a lot people who quit during the early days of release an opportunity to come back without having to question whether or not spending another $15 this month was really worth it.  If the model does change, I really hope they go the B2P route like TSW and ESO.  It would really be a shame if they marred a perfectly good game with F2P style pop-up adds and weirdball arbitrary restrictions to playable content, lol.  Fingers crossed they don't do that!  let's see what happens next.

Didn't come back to TESO, but been waiting for very long for b2p WildStar; will surely return for good after finishing SkyForge.

Do not think b2p would work, who wants to buy an old game ,should have been b2p at launch.
