I too bought the founders and sorta wish I had waited because I don't see myself putting much time into this game. Maybe just to do something different. I liked the story the first time I saw it but soon realized that every character has the same exact story. I too found myself only using the first couple skills as none others were necessary. I have played a couple other games with the combo system, DCUO being the one I remember most and I don't mind it, but honestly, there are already better F2P games out there and the gameplay is already starting to get boring. I soloed the first dungeon after waiting 20 minutes for the group finder to get me a group by putting it on 'easy' mode.. I should have left it on normal as I plowed through it at level 9. Not trashing the game, just saying there's not enough there to keep me invested.

OMG I dont know man they are both horrible real hard to call which is worse.
Absolutely, having played EoS to lvl cap you're not setting the bar very high here.
So how does Cab2 compare with, say Tera for example?

ya know I was wondering why the day I tried the Cabal 2 beta and played for a few hours I suddenly had this urge to play Aion and re-installed it, played for several days.
So far I hit level 9 and enjoying this a lot more then Echo of Souls and Archlord 2.
There's a dungeon at level 9 which is really early so I won't really consider that a good example for the feel of the game until around 20 since the dungeon is straightforward.
Dungeons in most mmos start at 15 so pretty odd its early.
I don't see this game as anything like Aion, a game that I enjoyed for a long time.
If only this game was a bit more like it.
After playing Cab2 for a while, I really don't know where to start.
It's absolutely awful, from the auto-pathing to the next quest npc on some dayglo bird - through to the 'guess the meaning of these random sentences' during any cutscene.
To me, this marks a new low in half-assed porting over of last decade (or last century?) eastern mmo's.
Is this really what the genre has come to? A series of near nonsensical npc dribble, interspersed between one click travel runs.
I dont normally write on forums. But i cannot believe that they have done open beta and 1 of the classes has a major bug. The priests have a bug to do with thier heals. Its laughable...Still should be in closed beta. The amount of bugs it way to many for it to have made it this far.
The game it self is a standard tab hit with combos that a 6 year old can manage so you can be brain dead and play it.

The bug is with the mana bar - the level indicator is not recording skills usage so it always shows full, despite the fact that mana is being used up.
So you've no idea how much mana you have, at what rate it is regenerating, or - and here's the slightly important bit - when you've run out and cannot cast any healing skills for your group.
How can an old game arrive with such a fundamental and class breaking bug?
And yet a ton of fools purchase the founders and feed these Beast money which is why we will always see these Train wreck games being pushed out one by one. It is obvious that the market is like salivating dogs when new games are introduced and we will sit, laydown, and even beg to be a part of something that once we taste it we realize it is only a MILKBONE! YUK!
im a big fan of Cabal 1, even though it was just another asian F2P mmo it was unique in its own way. After playing Cabal 2 for a couple of days straight i am very disappointed at this game. It is extremely unoptimized and other than the flashy skill effects it does not feel like Cabal in absolutely any way, shape or form.
They replaced the crystal weapons that made Cabal 1 cooler, with generic fantasy weapons. Even though the graphics and textures arent the best, the world is pretty, and the architecture of the buildings in the cities look phenomenal. However, even that looks more generic compared to Cabal 1.
I still like the game and will continue to play it, but i really hope they do some major performance improvement. CryEngine is a pretty good engine IMO so hopefully they dont waste that potential.
okay i tried open beta, and my god am i horrified, the game is very outdated, alot of glitchy movement patterns, very old UI, was similar to Aion, but even Aion is better. the combat is very dull, alot of stationary abilities and in which you cannot attack and move from. i do not understand how this will work in real pvp in the end lol. the graphics is alright but even Tera is more beautiful, Archeage is way better by far with everything it has to offer in a f2p game than this was. Blade & Soul coming is even more advance then this. i instant unistalled after 1 hour.

Cabal 2 - rename this to Banal 2
A steaming pile of regurgitated mmo awfulness.

Dear, @Steven the game has got some rough patches to fix including hp bar, guild interface and crafting, but in my veiw it is far above aion and thus a decent game to play as a free mmorpg if world chat and the issues above is fixed= great game. However it still a good f2pmmorpg.
