    It's an archaic preference :)

Not really, plenty of young people only plays candy crush or something a few months and then move over to something differently.

There have always been some people who get stuck in a certain game where others switch between several games at least since the day of the C-64.

Just like some people tend to almost only listen to the same artist for a while and others wanrt a mix, possibly of different music genres as well.

Some people just have a one track mind but that isn't a bad thing, just a preference.

I am not disputing that such people exist , I am not disputing thats it's a preference. All I am saying is that this is an old way of doing things - one at a time, singular - it's archaic. It doesnt mean it's wrong, archaic is not a bad thing, it's just that multitasking games is a newer way of playing.

I used to game like that, one game at a time not anymore.

My Guild plays both and has a large community in both games but I only have the time to help one Chapter out.

Tried to keep my personal preference out of it, but ye agree with bc here. For me ESO is the best mmorpg out there by a huge margin, and ita getting bigger and better fast.

    rpg/mmorg history: Dun Darach>Bloodwych>Bards Tale 1-3>Eye of the beholder > Might and Magic 2,3,5 > FFVII> Baldur's Gate 1, 2 > Planescape Torment >Morrowind > WOW > oblivion > LOTR > Guild Wars (1900hrs elementalist) Vanguard. > GW2(1000 elementalist), Wildstar

Now playing GW2, AOW 3, ESO, LOTR, Elite D

Re being archaic having to choose one, that's a nonsense, many including myself value having 1 main character that you enjoy devoting your energies on. Much more immersive and rewarding (for those that still understand and can allow themeselves to immerse)

As people have said, play both and spend more time in the one you enjoy more. Personally I have run out of steam with both of them and finishing some RPGs instead.

I play either ways depending on what else I am doing besides gaming but my point was that playing several games at the same time actually were more common on the C-64 then on a modern PC.

Heck, when I had a C-64 I usually played 3-4 different games each day so I don't see how that is more modern. It might be a new way to play for you personally of course but that is beside the point now.

Early in computer games there were many times as new games releasing as there are now, my C-64 magazine came out every 2 weeks and were full of new games  so people were usually playing a few favorites while trying out new games at the same time. And yes, at least 99.99% of all those games were pirate copies.

Sorry but young people do think what they are doing now is new and fresh but besides selfies are there really few things that are.

Why be torn over two buy to play games? Play a couple days of one then a couple days of the other until you figure out which you enjoy / want to put more time in.

I know both fit my style, but the biggest thing with MMOs is they take time and I'd rather focus on one and enjoy that instead of bouncing back and forth between a bunch. (Was thinking on returning to SWTOR but it seemed pretty dead and was basically just solo storyline stuff)

Not sure many times if post is honest or trolling.

Swtor is more LIVE then ever and will get even more LIVE, ALIVE, ... anything in the following months until release od expansion.

But your main question was to "return" to Gw2 or to Eso. I do not see dilema, if you would like to "teturn" to Gw2 it means you already have client. So you can try and see for FREE if it fits for you. If not, ESO.

im playing both but my main game is "The Secret World".

if you ask me, just playing the game you love the most.

i dont like guildwars 2 (and i played gw1 for six years) because there is not too much to do after reaching lv80 and done all the living story.

i am an pve-story player so anything that is pvpwvw related im not into it.

but ESO with the right mods is a really great game and you have a lot of things to do.

so pick your game and have fun.
