Fanboys still in denial about scam citizen. I wonder how much longer this can drag on before people figure it out.
And here we are folks! Thread number 9248 about CIG/CR/DS and we still have no proof of anything from either side! But we won't allow that to slow us down! No Sir!
Well, ok, that is not exactly true, we do have proof that the forums warrior community will take any opportunity to spout baseless BS at one another and try to sell it as fact!
In other news, CIG has hired Britney Spears to be the lead ship design artist!
Yeah the sad thing is that if the BS/DS posts were not shit out of someones bloated piehole for Trololols you wouldn't see so much whiteknighting by the other side.
I'm a backer for SC. I am really looking forwards to it. I am not blind though. I realize that CR could have done things differently in the past that might have made SC a little closer to completion. I don't like the feature creep, although they have took steps to slow that down. I don't like the Ship Buying sim mode that the game is currently stuck in. I agree it looks shady. But I also can't fault them for continuing to do it if their are folks out there with more money than sense. It will take plenty of money to see this through to a stellar completion.
My Christmas wish it that BOTH sides of the debate just shut the fuck up until something concrete comes out. Let the good folks at MMORPG.com and other gaming sites do their jobs.

Sounds great until you remember that it was one particular dipshit gaming site that helped to ramp up "the stupid" surrounding this game. And that this particular site gave Derek Smart a platform for his pissy pants little ravings as well. Stop blaming the piranhas for the feeding frenzy, blame the self serving tools that keep throwing them the tainted meat.
You do have a point! I forgot about that since I don't taint (heh I said taint) my web browser by going to that site. I will not be click bait for them. I forget that their is tabloid trash on the internet too.

For years now a bad trend has been popping up, gamers thinking they are game developers. Sure some of us are, but it is a very small fraction.
What is even worse and seemed to have started with SC, is gamers that think they are investors and or partners in a company simply for buying their games.
No one has any right to see the RSI books period, nor do we have any right to demand a change of CEO or even to view an earning report.
What we do have the legal right to do, as consumers, is STFU and wait for the product we purchased. Not a single person, backer or not, has any legal right to demand anything but a finished product from SC. So please little ones, stfu and wait.
100+ employed in Manchester continues to grow as they close down the Austin office because salaries are too high in Austin, whilst Germany and England councils reduce company cost and also give incentives for employing people in these two location. Makes sense that they pull all the people into the offices who are building same assets rather than two time zones as one is leaving work others start and time difference to respond to emails is slowing down development. (Source from 21.40 for the nay sayers if you cannot watch the full video https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/15012-Around-The-Verse) You see if you do a little digging rather than throwing a doom and gloom on boards it is far better to give a balanced unbiased opinion rather than taking one side or the other. But then when people are lead to believe misinformation which are given without first verifying this is what happens and you will get a backlash and end up with egg on your face too.
So as you appear very clever person Brenics! I ask you this based on the information I've given you above would you continue to employ people in Austin or offer them relocation to other places to carry on within the company or carry on with higher costs wasting backers invested money? I doubt you will respond to this as you clearly have nothing invested in this game and find it fun to troll people who have. Before anyone starts hitting me with the fanboi handle I'm a gamer not a fanboi and see the bigger picture here for all gamer's in the future, unlike many who jumped on the we hate CR hate bandwagon.
Nice try you guys but this game is not going to fail and it will be published with far better features than what they promised to crowdfunding backers. As for money goes i guess you guys missed bot roberts brothers talking about "outside investors" couple of times in interviews and ama videos, they have no shortage of money. Have fun with this nonsense though.
Boobs are LIFE, Boobs are LOVE, Boobs are JUSTICE, Boobs are mankind's HOPES and DREAMS. People who complain about boobs have lost their humanity.

From a purely business point of view, why start offices in 3 different countries to begin with? If what you are saying makes sense then what was the point of doing it like this in the first place?
"Sean (Murray) saying MP will be in the game is not remotely close to evidence that at the point of purchase people thought there was MP in the game." - SEANMCAD
When posting rumors, it would be good to put "rumor" somewhere in the title. Whileit was good to find out the office isn't currently closing, it was disappointing to see this and find out it was just more unofficial, unchecked regurgitation/misinterpretation of a line in a blog rant.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein "Graphics are often supplied by Engines that (some) MMORPG's are built in" - Spuffyre

Still depends who you believe, I see you take what ever Roberts and his web site says as gospel. I tend to side with the employees. Still the fact isn't would I or you employ people in Austin, the point was DS was to be lying when he stated months ago Austin would be closing and people would lose their jobs. Guess he was right but you being a gamer not a fanboy refuse to even accept that small fact.
@Talonsin seems to address the issue very well so no need to go over that fact and I agree with him. So it really does show how bad CR is with running a company.
Funny to think I wouldn't respond, but I wonder did you jump on the I hate DS bandwagon, I only ask this because you are a gamer. I also would like to say am not a CR hater. I would love the guy to make the game he has stated. I just think a lot of what he wants to do it impossible and he can't run a company very well. I also do not think he is that great of a person to attack DS like he has. If he really believes he can make the game he wants then why attack DS, laugh in his face and tell him he will prove him wrong.
Now myself as a gamer I have a stake in the game like all the other gamer's do. If CR does fail and has been taking crowd funding money and using it for things he shouldn't be then yes it could hurt crowd funding big time. So as gamer's we both have a stake in this game being made or failing. Plus it is one damn great soap opera.

The problem is that a company closing a small studio down that does specific work while they have other ones growing does not equal said company closing down nor the imminent failure of any project they are working on as you are insinuating with this thread and for strange reasons are apparently hoping for. The source you are quoting bases everything he spouts on the belief that SC is doomed to failure. The source continues to be wrong. The source is looking at things in a negative light, not seeing that it may be a positive.

I agree with you over all. However your condescending attitude does you no favors.
I would also like to point out, since it was a big deal in another thread that while you are correct today, you may not be real soon. I will try and find the link(s) but I recently got some stuff shoved down my neck that I did not like hearing (reading) and that is: Washington State and the U.S. Fair Trade commission are trying to make it to where people that DONATE or back a crowdfunded project can demand results and delivery of goods by a published date.
So, be aware if that cash is being squandered things can get real rough.
And before anyone shoots at me, I am not on either side of this argument, I am with the STFU until proof crowd. I just don't like the way @Xeno put that post.
If you want a new idea, go read an old book.
In order to be insulted, I must first value your opinion.
From all of the mess insinuated or initiated by threads like these I have learned 2 things. If Dork Smart [sic] is involved in it, then I don't want anything to do with it. No matter what. And the second thing is, the opinions expressed in these forums don't get moderated for validity or honesty. So if you want factual information about player experiences with games, this IS NOT the place to get it.
All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.
I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.
I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.
I got my refund when it was apparent that once the cash shop was working the actual game wouldn't be coming and wont be as promised. Already had the money to make the game and release it but decided to see how much money they can take in and not actually release the game. And the shills constantly trying to spin everything positive....Have Fun.

He has given this game more mainstream media attention that would normally be possible.
