Speaking to Gamespot, CD Projekt Red's Marcin Iwinski said that "it wouldn't be fair towards the fans" not to make a fourth game in the Witcher series. "We work within this universe for over a dozen years now and I don't think it's going to be the end of it."

    Actually surprised because I thought I heard somewhere Witcher 3 was the end of the series. Did they change their mind?

    There are more Witchers than Geralt. There's even more Witcher schools outside of Geralts School of the Wolf.

    Now, whether or not Witcher 4's story is as good as the previous trio? That's another story, no pun intended.

    Since the Witcher 3's extensive success earlier this year I've heard lots of rumblings about a Witcher 4 and what it would entail. I've seen tons of fan ideas/guesses as to who would be the protagonist, since it's been confirmed this is the end of Geralt's storyline, and what the story would be about.


    If I had to guess I'd say either they go with Ciri as the new main protagonist and continue her story as one option. The other they choose a different Witcher School and make a customizable character, since it's been asked for so much by fans, and allow you to create your own Witcher story in a different time period. Yet, in the end it's only guesses and based on the interview it appears we'll have to wait quite a few years before any info comes out yet alone another game.

    I want a witcher 4 where ..wait for it ... we get to play Ciri as a witcher and taking a queue from her adopted father she will have sex with all the hottest girls found in game :P.

    Any chance you're thinking of Dark Souls? They said the third game in that series is the end.

    Would love to play another Witcher game like most people would.But I think I would prefer one without Geralt or Ciri.Would have to be a new protagonist imo.Someone they could make another trilogy of games out of.I loved Geralt has a character but the story is spent.

    Actually no.  Distinctly remember it was Witcher 3.  I thought it odd considering how popular the series continues to be.  Of course, I have no idea where I remember reading about the comment.

    I would love to play some mage in the witcher universe , they always seem so fun . Just don't make it about Ciri . I would play as a drowner first than i would play as Ciri if i had a choice.

    In my view the games got worse as the series went on.. I couldnt finish the second one and stopped the third long before the end. Not interested in another title.

    If they did different characters to play they could introduce co-op play maybe. Now that would be awesome playing with friends in the Witcher world.

    I love the Witcher games, and cant wait to read the books. I would definitely welcome a Witcher 4 if they make it, but i hope Witcher 3 was Geralt's last adventure. I may be wrong but i strongly believe they introduced Siri so Geralt becomes her sensei and she takes his place in the following games as the new Witcher. I would totally love to see that happening.

    I think Ciri alludes to Cyberpunk 2077 when Geralt first finds her and she wakes up. She is talking about all the worlds her and the elf dude went to. She mentions a world where people had metal in their heads and something about flying carriages.

    Wouldn't mind a Witcher game with Triss or even Ciri as the lead. Wouldn't even mind not having Geralt as a cameo if the story is as strong as W3 story was. Could even come up with a new character.

    i loved playing as Ciri feel OP as hell , that teleportation skills are cooooool , feel like nightcrawler!

    It could be highly possible, she told geralt about porting to that kind of world.

    If the new witcher doesn't include Geralt I will be very happy. There are three things that I don't like about the witcher:
    1. Geralt
    2. Combat
    3. Extremely demanding game requiring to have a really good PC. 

    I can can live with the horrible combat as the game has great story and exploration and I guess PC requirements won't change but at least get rid of geralt, he's freaking annoying and disgusting.

    Mission in life: Vanquish all MMORPG.com trolls - especially TESO, WOW and GW2 trolls.

    I am not going to ask about why you don't like combat but why do you think geralt is annoying and disgusting? If he is really annoying and disgusting then the fault is in the player who is playing him, you know the choice is in players' hands, they can decide if geralt be a turd or a gem.

    But if you are talking about how emotionless he is or his ..ummm..appetite, well then you have not been paying attention to witcher lore.
