What MMOs have you been playing?

I've been playing PoE for the new league, but I've got everything and I'm bored. I need something else now. What have you guys been playing? I'm really thinking about trying the Final Fantasy MMO.

FF14 is a great game ...    I been hittin STO pretty hard latley ...     if you ar a fan of POE i highly recomend Grim Dawn as hits the sweet between D3 action and POE depth .. dark and grtty world with great lore ...

And with the last update friday it is now feature complete and just in polish stage

I have Grim Dawn, I can't really get into it though, I really dislike the UI. I might start playing Trove again for fun.

I send you msg, what you can try...but if I was on your place I would stick to F2P for time being and wait it out for the next great games coming in 2016. If I didn't have so many amazing tv series to burn through I would also focus on some of the great single players that came in 2014/2015.

    Elsword

Basically, if you're going to play a game that is mostly about combat, you might as well pick one with combat that is actually good, as opposed to mostly waiting for mobs to die.

I wanted to start one of these topics myself.  You have great timing.

    Now, we wait.

I haven't been playing any. None of them are too appealing anymore. I may try BDO when it releases but I have a feeling it will only be good enough for a single leveling up experience with no end game content to keep me interested and I'm pretty wary of the cash shop system. Unless you are really into F2P type games or really want to go back to WoW there aren't any MMO options to speak of IMO. Looks like I'm stuck with SP games for the foreseeable future.

I'm playing Archeage atm slowly and steady but I'm sure at 30+ if I keep getting PKed might ragequit. I play FFXIV like twice a week and Destiny once a week. CoD BO3 for my pvp fix and most hours are spent there as I'm getting better and better from 0.7 KDR I'm at 1.08 already which is a lot of improvement. Tried ESO for few days but doesn't make me excited enough to log in again after I log out. I miss the days of FFXI or vanilla/TBC wow where you skilled up weapons now days no game offer skilling up :(

edit: If Archeage was PvE or had PvE server I would even sub to it it's a fun game but the thought of after 30 is only thing that kills it for me same as Aion did back few years ago with their level 25+ pvp focus.

Be careful. Some here will blow a casket and tell you that PoE is not a MMO.

Personally i think it is close enough, but hey .. .some people are extremely sensitive to labels.

If you like PoE, have you tried Marvel Heroes? There is an indie game called Victor Vran, which I also think is pretty good (though the game is much smaller in scope).

I tried Marvel Heroes, got a few max level heroes, I didn't like how gearing went, and I got stuck with a few heroes I wasn't really having fun with so I stopped playing, plus the bank space is.. horrid. Victor Vran = No female characters. Dx

War Thunder is cool, I just wish your planes didn't have 1 life per battle. If I could just use 1 plane all battle I'd be happy lol.

Try SMITE- not an MMO but tons of fun.

Right at this moment if I was deseprate for an MMO I guess I would play ffxiv.  The combat is slow though.

Personally I'm just waiting for Black Desert and playing SMITE and Hearthstone.

I do prefer MMOs but there's nothing worth playing atm, for me anyway, and hasn't been for a year.

On the bright side I finally hit legend in Hearthstone for the first time yesterday :).

Hey Paigey Merry Christmas. Now it's not an mmo but have you ever played mount & blade: warband. I recently started playing it and can't stop, It's very addictive, It's on sale right now for like £2, It's medieval themed and plays a bit like dragon age 1. You basically start off at the bottom as a peasant and work your way up to king/queen, it has politics/marriage etc, you can raid villages or help them succeed/flourish, You can control castles/villages and set taxes, the map is huge, it feels very rpg'y/sandboxy. there is multiplayer but I haven't really tried it (having too much fun in single player) there's a ton of mods (game of thrones, star wars) I think there's ones that even turn the game into a sort of mmo. I know there's an online roleplay server that's big but I haven't tried it.

It's very optimized, might feel a bit too oldschool at the very start but once you get into it and start building up your kingdom its very addictive. I'm about 30 hours in (I just got it a week ago) and I haven't even scratched the surface. It's really good I recommend trying it out if you are burned out from rehashed mmo's like I am.

Apart from that I'm playing Trove and various games on steam (banished, kingdom, terraria, legend of dungeon, mytheon (mmo), project zomboid, chivalry, insurgency).

I got the highest founders pack in albion (fell for the hype), totally regretted it, Its nothing like I thought it would be.

Hope you find a new poison you like :) how is your christmas going.

Nothing at the moment. Had the opportunity to play through the CBT1 closed beta for Black Desert Online and was thoroughly surprised at how fun it was, to the point of actually pre-ordering the game. So just looking forward to the full release right now. In the meantime it's Arma 3 for me.

Age of Wulin - ita a good mmo, if you can ignore all the p2w elements of it.

EQ2 mostly at the moment. I always said I'd never go back, but the jerk who caused all the problems is gone, and Frostfell is my favorite time of year so I've been busily crafting items and decorating. I played SWTOR when they released the new expansion, but haven't yet touched it again because their holidays are crap (mostly just stuff on the store they want you to buy for real money) and the newest chapter doesn't come out till January. This game would have been so much better as a proper RPG without the MMO part.
