I was online immediately after the patch. The spamming is non-stop and they are replaced with in 45 seconds. I also checked out the profiles of them and almost all of them are under level 10 many level 4s and level 1s. I put in for refund and uninstalled.
If I have to disable all chats but /say and /party I might as well just play a single player game. You can't even mine in the game to supply your own crafting because bots get 95% of the nodes. Go to any loading area close to a resource and sit there and watch and count the bots zoning in and out to check all the channels.

It always amazes me how players resort to the threat of having already uninstalled or in the in the process of doing so as if they are doing the company a favor by playing and the only entity being hurt is the company.  Does it ever register that perhaps they are also hurting themselves by denying themselves the fun they could of had in the game by being affected so much by something as benign as a chat box?  I mean, to me, quitting over a chat box is a bit over the top.  I don't know, maybe its just me, but I rarely ever even look at a chat box and when I need to I am easily able to customize it to my convenience.  It just seems to me like such an over blown drama queen response.  Again, to each their own and I respect that everyone has their own little pet peeves, but I would hate to be you.
    1. I have already uninstalled and even replying to a NCSoft support which has offered me a refund except for my NCcoin.
    2. I use the chat to sell my crafts, the market is restricted to 20 item sales a day with a premium membership at rank 5. You have to spend $1500 to get to rank 10 and be allowed 100 sales slots a day which would let me bypass the need to sell over chat. I don't spam so please don't suggest it. Players like buying 1 of an item instead of spending all their coin on a stack and I enjoy them thanking me for it.

Some people can tunnel vision a game while ignoring everyone. I like to have conversations with people even in cross server group finder. I like being me.

gold spammers have been a prob in EVERY mmo since WoW or maybe even earlier now.
every time, someone claimed "this would kill the game!".

and no game died bc of them so far, only because of wrong game design decisions ^^

The patch that happened 5 hours ago not the patch from 5 days ago.  IF you are claiming that this happened after the patch this morning then I call bullcrap.

Have you even logged in today or viewed the forums or BNS reddit? You should have seen the forums a couple of hours ago the mods have deleted 100s of threads today from customers complaining about gold seller spamming worse than before the patch.
    https://forums.bladeandsoul.com/topic/158500-gold-spammers-everywhere/?page=73

Start at page 1 work your way to 73. Dozens of pictures of the spam, 1000+ complaints of not being able to block, the spam, players below level 10 being allowed to spam, even using websites as character names.

Its a F2P game that has been out for just a little over a week.  It is understood that there will be issues with the popularity of the release has brought.  They are listening to the player base and they are trying.  They have already responded by putting systems in place to try and curtail the gold spamming issue.  They have also identified other complaints and have addressed them in a timely manner.  These things get resolved over a period of time.  A little patience goes a long way.  That said, it is also understood that some people have no tolerance or patience.  No effort is good enough for them and that is why you will be given your refund.  I hope you find that perfect game.

Well this is just great the gold spammers are now hacking the game.  They are using illegal names and somehow preventing people from blocking them.

It can't be said enough.  They have the resources, and the financial motivation, to stay ahead of the game.

The reason for NCSoft deleting all the threads was to consolidate them not because they were trying to cover it up. Plus most people feel like since its their issue that it deserves its own thread. Which is not the case. Especially if you are trying to ascertain what the issue is. I will say this... as much as the gold spammer issue is annoying. I am glad that they acknowledged it and are addressing it. Its obvious how much of a burden that is. Regardless, have some patience. They have a great game here and they know they have to improve or fix issues like this.

I think they know exactly what they are doing. That's why they allow them to be sold to players.

Did you actually read the reply Rhazesx made? He also complained about the bots mining nodes and hop from instance to instance to get them all. It's not just about the constant RMT spam. When you realize that the RMT has to be fueled by something and that that something are bots that mine 24/7, it makes it impossible for you as legit player to actually enjoy the game.

When I logged on on day #1 and saw all that RMT spam, I realized how bad it would be (also knowing how bad NCWest is on banning bots/cheaters) and I uninstalled it immemdiately. It just seems that I was right (as always :D ) and did the right thing.

More over, it's not YOU doing the publisher a favor by playing. The PUBLISHER should also make it possible for you to enjoy the game. When a game is overrun by bots then what's the point to keep playing when the publisher clearly doesn't care about YOUR enjoyment of the game?

IMO this game should fail badly within a month by players who stop playing because of all the botting & RMT and let NCSoft feel for once how bad the situation on their servers is...

    wow lol.
    Speechless really.
    I wont even bother..

U see that is good.. Reason being, Gold spammers need money and not to spend money.
Keeps wise azz kids off, who love to spam the chat..ie; i fked your mom because they were one head shot..
But thanks for your input.I am glad you wont bother..  :pleased:
its a silly suggestion to put in pay 2 chat, it is possible to make proper spam filters, NCsoft should have worked on it before releasing the game.

Of course. It's just their version of RMT. But in order to stop 3rd party gold sales (if they actually do want to stop it,) their version has to be competitive with what gold is going for in the 3rd party sites.

For example, I have no idea what the exchange rate in GW2 is these days since I haven't looked for quite a while but just a quick search shows me that there's a site selling 100g for $2.99... when I did look at this a while back, you typically got around 3X the gold per $1. And this is in a game with a more direct cash for gold system.

The companies have the ability to drive 3rd party gold sales into the ground if they want. But of course if they do this, they have no 3rd party to blame when the in-game economy goes to shit.

It's why I much prefer the cash-shop-lite systems, like the one ZOS has in ESO for example, where nothing from the cash shop whatsoever can be traded in game.

What I find interesting about this thread is everyone acting like this never happened in a game before. SW TOR, GW2, ESO, Archeage, Wildstar, to name a few, were all infested with this exact same horseshit. Why is everyone acting so surprised its happened again?

Exactly.  And its only been a week!  I can see being peeved about it and setting it aside for a bit but the rage, refund requests, and ... uninstalling?  c'mon!  Just too much drama for me lol

I agree with both of you but to be fair, it seems to me like every popular new launch is always a little worse in the amount of gold sales spam and bot trains than the previous one.

I would say it's mostly volume. When I played GW2, yeah you saw them occasionally, but they only sent out their messages about once every minute or so, and of course there was no block list limit (that I ever hit) so they didn't impact the chat at all.

In BnS however, the bots are spamming, literally, their message every couple seconds, to the point that if there's even one bot it feels like 10, and if there's 10 then the chat is unusable.

I don't know why the botters think that that much spam volume will be effective though, instead of interesting players in their offers, it is causing this giant lash back of people being annoyed to the point of going onto forums to talk about it.

Also their prices are hilariously over priced, $90 for like 6 gold.

Ok so I went to the website of those who are hacking and they got a talk with live customer service rep.  So I clicked on it then told them how I wished they would do things and go somewhere.... Use imagination.  So I propose that we gamers go to this website click on chat with representative then just mess with their day since they think its ok to do that to our games.

Ok they did a hotfix so you can at least ignore the players who have illegal names.  What I mean by illegal.  The game won't allow you to create a character with a name that has any symbols at all.  Yet somehow these hackers had names with symbols in it which caused the game to not recognize them when trying to ignore them.  Because their names weren't within the parameters of required names.

They come in waves, never seen anything like it. I'll login there will be complete spam filling faction chat. No in-game mail though thankfully.

Then, a few hours later (no action on my part) the bots will be completely gone. People are chatting away uninterrupted. So maybe NCSoft does some kind of sweep every now and again?
Now Playing: Bless / Summoners War
Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile

NCWest quick fix seems to have eliminated 99.9 % of the spammers, still had one in the Dragonspire Chat, but all in all it is great that we can use faction and regional chat once again.   I do hope they continue to work on this issue to find a more permanent and overall general fix so we don't have to block any gold spammers.
