It really doesn't matter if people don't like this game, Everyone is not going to like every game, in fact lots of people don't like most games. That much is just a matter of preference and what certain people are looking for in a game. These posts I read if anything should say something about the majority of the people that DO come on here and don't like the game, all they do is talk crap on people .... Ya these are good people to take advice from about anything, flamers ... I'm gonna listen to what some guy that can't spout a nice statement about anything or anyone has to say ... Your just forum trolls, get out of here and get a life. Granted there are a few well written posts from people who didn't like the game, the majority of these posts are garbage.
Anyways ... People complain about any and everything they can, I dunno who told u this game was going to be some of these things to make u expect that but it was never said as such. This game is a PVP MMO ... basic focus is PVP, if you dont like or dont want PVP, DO NOT PLAY .... as you will be sourly dissapointed. There is a fairly simple leveling system for experience and for skills. There is some basic quests to get people going in the proper direction for what they should be doing. There is class variety. There is enough gear to do whatever you want to do. . . . Other then that ALL of these things are geared towards getting you prepared for PVP.
Anyone who expects to lunge into the Main part of the game on the first day is just being foolish. This game is designed to basically teach players how to play and learn the mechanics of the game thru the first 25-30 levels (which take most people ONLY a week to get through). After this point you will have the oportunity AND SHOULD PVP a lot. If you are not going to PVP in this game, then there is no reason to play .... As you can see by peoples constant complains this game does not have a huge database of PVE content ....... but hello ... it was never intended too, there are PLENTY of other PVE MMO out there and most of them SUCK at PVP .... this one is the oposite, it isnt PVE at all but the PVP kicks ass ... I could quite frankly give a rats ass about anime or any of that BS ppl are saying is why someone would like this game, I dont watch anime or any of that but I like good PVP games ... and unless your a total PVP noob this game is pretty awesome in the battles. It is actually quite challenging, takes teamwork & orginization. If you are a smart and properly skilled player you wont die in 3 seconds like these fools are complaining. It is usually really hard to take someone down. People going into a war at lvl 25 and complaining they died ?!?! boo hoo what do u expect u are still in learning process. Get yourself above lvl 30, get your class change and you will be more suited for the wars.
I personally like the fact that this game has a mild grind to it, I cant stand carebear games that are to easy and everything is handed to you. Altho its not really that bad if you get to know your way around the game, you can still level at a good pace and be well skilled while still having the feel that you actually earned whatever skill you have yourelf and wasn't just handed to you. The purpose of this grind system is to prevent effective Powerleveling, and it does work quite well. People who powerlevel thru experience will still be weak in skills and thus be less of a threat in PVP until they properly level the skills.
We know this type of game doesn't appeal to everyone or might not be what your looking for atm ... We dont give a rats ass, we like it, it is quite fun ... I liked it lvls 1-30 and I liked it even more lvl 30+ I know a lot of other people that like it as well .. in fact I would say that about 4/5 the people I know that have played it like it ... We didn't go in expecting a PVE content game and people I know that want that stayed away ... we went in expecting good PVP huge battles ... and thats what we got, in that aspect it is a very well done game and there really isn't much else on the market that compares except perhaps DAoC which as much as you want to complain RFO might be a 1- 1 1/2 yr dated game DAoC is about 4-5 yrs dated ... and no longer very well balanced with the later classes they added, at least RFO is very well balanced. And maybe L2 sieges can compare ... but those don't happen nearly as often as the PVP in RFO which is 3 wars per day. All the PVE games on the market that have PVP add-in battlefields, games, matches, arenas or zones don't at all compare to what RFO has to offer in PVP.
Speaking of the complaints about RFO being 1 - 1 1/2 years old ... We are playing the english version, which isn't that old, we are in Giga 3 and Korean version is Giga 4 .. some of the issues you complain about will be fixed when the Giga 4 English translation takes effect. But even so this will not become a PVE game ... stop dreaming for that to happen because it wont, its just not what it is ... its PVP and if you want a shot at playing one of the best Mass Battle sci-fi/Fantasy type games out there, give it a shot .. If this doesn't interest you then move on I'm sure something else will, but please ... please just STFU already about your complaints into crap this game was never intended to be.
