Love the combat. I find myself comparing combat in any game I play these days, usually unfavorably, to GW2. PVE side of things don't excite me as much. Endless escorting of yaks , rescuing villages, etc. Just wait for the event to reset. Personal story is lacking. I spend most of my time in WvW.
For my PvE fix I play ESO and LOTRO. I expect Why do you like about .........for these games in the futre.

I love the music most of the voice overs don't make me want to stab myself I do really like the artistic style and graphics I enjoy the combat and mechanics The storyline is not too bad and fairly interesting, at least the first time through
I played pretty heavily for about 3 months when it first released. I still go in and repatch occasionally, but haven't gotten into any of the newer content or the expansion. The game really just seemed to fall off a cliff once you hit max level
The Uninstall Option .......... nothing else to like , Bore Wars 2 is a terrible MMO in every conceivable way IMO .. Im just hoping it didnt set the entire genre back to far ...

Also, they had to do a lot of optimizing to make WvW work. Interrupts were cut, body blocking was cut... It was not a good trade. I really wish they hadn't made WvW at all. A bad move.
And who's fucking idea was it to give up energy and energy management? They did it great in GW1? What happened? They had a good thing and they just gave it up. Was it too hard for the target audience?

GW2 has energy management. I suggest to try Revenant for example.
1) Action combat - great pace, smooth 2) (The illusion of) openness of the world - while there is still progression, you can just go around the map and complete quests in random order. That makes it much easier to team up with people. 3) Very high polish 4) No sub 5) Variety in character builds 6) Softer item progression and dependency 7) All and all very fluid game play
Dislike:
1) Asian component of the art style and lack of weapon weight - sadly a show stopper for me. 2) Combat - I think low number and variety of active skills along with long cooldowns and no complexity make it very stale 3) Weapon swaps and 2-handed-sword-as-long-range-weapon...eww... 4) While there is great character build variety, weapon choice on the other hand feels to me very prescriptive. 5) No cut-scene for dialogues - yeah, I am spoiled and I am not ashamed of that!
Combat is terrible, PvE and PvP is worst than some of F2P games. I bought the game, maxed out level. Farmed some exotic gears. Last time I checked it was %96 of the maps were discovered and It made me feel stupid. Because I didnt get any impression. Just mehh... It wasnt like when I played WoW for the first time. I'm not a lore geek so most of the times just click and go. Skills are... why bother? This game should be closed. Most of the players are loved the PvP of it but I dont think it is that good. A game just realesed a few weeks ago 10 times better than this game and it is free to play. (Blade & Soul)

It's funny and confusing that people say this because... in just about every other mmo before GW2.... sure you learn a ton of skills. But in actual fact you only end up using a set few. Some skills you would just not put any points into or simple 1 or 2 because of a 'passive effect'
I think the limited use of skills is okay. It's not so little that I need more. But it is enough to experiment and combo skills together with and all get use frequently enough to have engaging combat.
I like this move they made.
Blade and Soul does more or less the same thing. You only have about the same 10~12 skills u ever use at a time (1,2,3,4,q,e,z,x,c,v,tab). So BnS has a couple more and yet doesnt get the complain that it's limited. It baffles me. But ill admit the kewl thing about BnS skill system is you can have a completely different skill that has a use for a given slot depending on how u build the skill tree.
Anyhow I'll never accept the negative reasons regarding limited use of skills in GW2.

It is not just the number of skills alone, it is a whole implementation.
ie, ESO also uses very low number of skills but there are no cooldowns and the skills add lots of dynamics into combat, those skills do matter.
With GW2, you often than not just spam single button and throw in a skill in there once in a while - long cooldowns, no combo/synergy in skills, no complexity.
Sure, you can weapon swap but that is entirely different story of very unfortunate design.

I imagine that was, in part, directed at me. If that is the case, then that is an understandable misunderstanding of my comment.
I don't dislike "small bar" MMOs. In fact, my favorite skill system of all time was the original Guild Wars, which had a shorter skill bar than Guild Wars 2.
No, what I dislike about Guild Wars 2 is the lack of specialization in its skills. Too many of them feel bland and generic. There is too little separating its various bleed skills from one another, for example. Too little making one speed buff different from another. And the result is that its classes inevitably feel more "samey" than they should.
All of this stems from a dumbing down of the hexes, boons, and conditions of the first game, and that is where most of Guild Wars 2's problems could be said to lie. It's the driving force between the lack of role cohesion, the lack of class distinction, and the small pool of skills to slot into your bar in the first place.

The only one people try to do for the most part is blasting waterfields for the healing.

Combos are almost exclusively cross class, there are very, very few exceptions when it works within one class not to say weapon, healing being an exception.
Merely non-existent feature considering the context.
With my mesmer I could create my own fields and use them in combos. Also the ranger. The other classes I would use them if others laid the field in events. Guardian can be quite useful if you exploit the combos in events.
I liked the game .Loved the art and although I absolutely sucked at the jumping thing some taking me like 2 hours to get to the top only to fall again I felt very exhilarated when i finally succeeded. I liked the different races and their towns and listening to the NPCs. It is a good game and I liked it but I mostly played it alone which was why I finally left. I may have enjoyed it better if I had played it with friends.

Yes, they are technically there but they are mostly cross class thus not really apply to my notion.
No they are not. Any class can make countless combos all by themselves. Dual Dagger Elementalist count among the best pvp classes because they have some extremely effective combo options.
