I started with the Explorers and upgraded to the Conquerors.

Hopefully that will cover my CS purchases for the year.

Conquerer's edition. And since I had put in for the first week of March off from work back in December, I'll be able to really sink my teeth into the game starting on the 28th.

I think that buying the Explorers version update might be cheaper then buying this required (except for the horse) stuff with pearls... And €50 is still an acceptable price for a game

I will be waiting atleast a month before I purchase this, by then things should be more clear if it will be a worth while purchase or not.

Went with Conqueror's mostly to show my appreciation for the game. But the extras are quite nice.

That makes sense. I have the travelers pack and reading your post i just realized that i would rather pay the extra $20 for the 4 extra features, and not give $30 for a silly costume.

I think have 4 different starting days for the different packages is what will make the release lag bearable..

So happy they did not go for free to play, the Queues would be unbearable

Its hard to get a good feel of a game from reading forums..

I try to take a week off at the launch of most new mmo's if i plan to play them. Never once made a QQ post about server queue's or crashes. I have realistic expectations at launch...with there be a queue? yes...will there be a server crash? maybe.... will it bother me if those happen? not really since i've got the whole week off to relax, drink beer and play games with my friends.

I fell hard for this game after giving the KR version a try. So I grabbed the conq pack and managed to talk a couple friends into it too. Now we're all hyped waiting till early access.

I watched a bunch of videos and I decided I was going to play, so I want the perks and the 96-hour head start to be ahead of the major zerg, though I'm not going to speed level. Launch will still most likely be a clstrfk as it is for most games, but we'll see.

Though I haven't played, I do cringe at the amount of hype and the religious fervor shown by the true believers. I don't think I've seen such a group of strong supporters on these forums since just pre-GW2 days. Is this game really that good?

And the vehemence of the detractors is also quite zealous. For example, people who didn't purchase any version coming in to tell us of that fact and voting anyway. What's causing such strong reactions?

None, I don't feel like this game has enough endgame content. It is mainly relying on it's pretty graphics and lacks substance. BUT if I was to order it I'd choose Traveller

I liked the game a lot, so I ordered the conqueror's package. I don't usually do that, but this game was fun in my opinion.

Went with the $50 package, as I'm more interested in purchasing a couple more pets. The extra $50 for conq is not really providing me with what i personally want.

Started off thinking I was going to take a wait and see approach. Then got into CBT2 and good lord, I couldn't stop playing... there is so much to do and so much to explore, so I bought the explorer's pack. Then today I got a nice bonus from work so I decided I could afford the conqueror's pack. Looking forward to getting back into the game and exploring all the systems and the beautiful living world.
