Diversity In Human Characters

I was just thinking, while reading a bio of 'Human' on the horizons homepage.  Most games describe humans as the 'Jack of all Trades.'  This is true in many games but what i think would be cool if your character evolved to fit your profession, like he would grow stronger and bigger if you chose to lead your human as a warrior/forger, or lean and taller if you choose to use magic.  This could work for many other races too.  It would make the human race much more diverse IMHO.

Also, most (American) games don't really use any variety in humans (to my knowladge.)  It would make things better if thier were oriental, african, and/or hispanic choices of humans.  I don't know why African/Asain/Hispanic Americans haven't really said anything about this, I just don't think its fair, and like to see this implemented into upcoming games.

Note: What was said above isn't ment for JUST Horizons, i just happened to get the idea while on the Horizons web-page.

Feel free to share your thoughts and post anything you'd like about the topic. :)

Erik.

Well, in theory you "evolve" the human by changing their skills. If you're a warrior/tank, naturally you'd increase your strength and such. But I think there should be a visual change too. A crafter or mage may be a not-so-buff looking guy, while that warrior looks like a warrior...

hehe, i bet it'd be a ton of more work for them though, so they just give us the option of choosing the stuff in the beginnning ex. height/width, etc.

I think the concept of having players appearance change with there class/level is a great idea. One I hope as system resources become cheaper will be implemented.

Achievers realise that killers as a concept are necessary in order to make achievement meaningful and worthwhile (there being no way to "lose" the game if any fool can "win" just by plodding slowly unchallenged). -bartle

I dont think you've played many mmorpgs then

All really allow you to choose skin color ect ect ect, infact its so complex in some games takes ya a good 30 mins to completely design the look of your char.  (or least it does for me)  Check out AC or SWG, and I bet plenty of others do the same.
