Oh he actually has said that in previous posts long ago.
Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it is bad.

Well, video games have the possibility to make people more peaceful, depends on a video game. Every video game demands something from a player, most of the games quite high degree of violence. In so far as someone plays too much violent games will his sense of empathy decrease, itself violent games makes violence more acceptable - it's not an opinion, but a fact. The same as is know that competitive games, which reward high degree of individualism, (can) accelerate egoism and decrease empathy.
I disagree to an extent. If this is the case than that issue stems from a psychological problem differentiating reality from fiction. Anything you do in a game should, in theory, only be allowable in a gaming environment and the end-user should know this. It's like pretending an elephant is pink versus the fact of elephants actually being grey. No matter how much you pretend, it will never be. But if you keep claiming it is despite all evidence otherwise than there is something deeper. Maybe it's not so much a problem, but it's definitely a developmental discussion. Why do you think ESRB rates violent games as 17+? People aren't born perfect.

33 year old gamer.  I think GTA 5 is a hoot.  I like to rob the convenience stores and then act like I'm walking out peacefully with the moneybag but then blow some buckshot into the cashier's chest instead.  I like to run over swarms of people on the beach with my Zentorno leaving piles of sexy lady bodies in my wake.  I like to shoulder check randoms on the street, act like I'm all gangsta and start shanking them.  When they're on the ground I continue shanking them until the cops arrive then I mow them down and steal their cruiser that I ramp into a military base to steal a jet that I use to blow up dozens of vehicles on the freeway.

Yet, in real life I'm a really laid back dude who would never even consider doing any of this, as I greatly value life and have a very strong empathy center.

Can gaming make you good or bad?  Eh, I don't believe it can.  You must already have the propensity to be one or the other, and then perhaps a game can amplify that quality a small bit, at most.  I think gaming is just another scapegoat used to explain away why people are so unstable rather than just coming to terms with the fact that some people are just fucked up, and that's the way it is, always has been and always will be.  With or without gaming you'll still have good people doing good things and bad people doing bad things, I don't feel gaming has any significant impact in either court.

Mass video game consumption is slowly turning the populations of developed countries into apathetic vegetables. I guess in that sense you're right.
While we're busy fighting over which game has the coolest graphics, our governments slowly strip us of our fundamental rights and freedoms and the crazy sand people conspire to take over the northern hemisphere.
All's good tho bruh. Yolo right?

You can equally blame it on toilet paper.  Industrial countries  use more toilet paper than other countries and often have less wars.  OMG someone should look into this.

I think you may actually have found the ultimate solution. Nobel prize incoming!

I believe that, fundamentally on a genetic / evolutionary level, men have the desire to hunt, kill and assert themselves as well as improve their own positions in life. The last 1000 / 2000 years of civilisation hasn't bred that out of us.

When denied those desires, we can get violent.

Video games, along with films, tv, books, sports and other hobbies allow us to meet those primal urges without actually causing harm to others. Video games especially allow us to express ourselves and explore our desires in a safe environment with minimal barriers in our way. Entertainment products also vacuum up spare time, so instead of getting bored and going looking for mischief, we can play games instead.

So yeh, in essence, I agree that video games are making the world a more peaceful place. By comparison, I believe that social networks are making the world a worse place

You always start the strangest and most illogical threads lol. It's also very obvious you probably have never left your home state.
