I didnt expect you to understand my post anarchy. Do you realy think the borked sitting animation or not beeing able to lay down on a bed are things to be proud of in a roleplaying game? especialy one with such a wide range of furniture you can buy for your home/room?
But then again, your prolly just spending another couple of months in EQ2 and then moving on to any other mmorpg, as is usual, i guess DAOC didnt suit your taste :P

they did this without consulting guild memebers let alone leaders.
they say its cause its to much like real world... then the next month they put candy barrs and xmass tress in common areas... thats just plain HYPOCARACY... and not only that... WoW was doing the same thing too... and snowballs too...
on the one hand they say you cant have this cause its a real life thing, then they incorperate some white anglo mass marketing that works only in the states.
this of course has nothing to do with the look of stuff...

I was impressed with enviroments and effects, but yeah it all became a bit the same.
WoW is much worse.
EQ 1 from Verant was amazing. EQ1 sony was good... but definately was not the same. EQ2 was a total let down. Even though i got the limited edition that came out a week after the normal version. Even though i had SOW boots and a pet dragon... SO what, I had the character generation Pre disk and all...I was on making my account as soon as I could.. I played... and played....it was good ... when they revamped the fighting system it became a boring game... they made it easier cause n00bs where flocking to WoW cause its Easy and EQ2 was hard.. boohoo... so if fools wanna play wow..so what... then they changed the gameplay AGAIN... and AGAIN... and not for the better I might add.
more and more folks where flocking to WoW... hmmm wonder why... not cause it was easy or hard.. cause all their friends where there... The zones became empty... compared to what they where a few months earlier.
When WoW came out. you could go down to EB or your local game store... and debate what one was better... a few months later.. there was no debate. WoW won. and nott cause of game play, not cause of graphics... but because all your mates where having a great time chatting away and laying seige to anything en-masse.. the way we used to on Kunark .
graphics of EQ has always been better than WoW.. but so what.. different comps specs. different games. i biuld my computer with EQ in mind. Play anything for to long and it becomes a bore... yup, that is for sure.
after 6 years (EQ1 and EQ2) , i gave my account away for free...

I totally disagree with the fact that the game is better... I think its worse now... the fighting rule set is now much more simple and easy... less thinking.. I dont like it.. but yes they did tidy some quests for sure... but that is not what I dont like.

Look at this statement: You are complaining because EQ2 has been out for a year and you can't sit in a chair or lay on a bed.
WoW has been out a month less than EQ2 and you can't do either of these things in WoW. Hell WoW doesn't even have housing yet. AC1 has been out years longer and you can't do either in that game EQ has been out years longer and you can't do either in that game AO, CoH, DAoC, EvE, FFXI, Hz, Lineage I&II, SoR, Shadowbane etc have ALL been out longer than EQ2 and you can't do either in any of those games either, so why then are you just complaining about it in EQ2? In fact, and correct me if I'm wrong, the only mainstream MMO you can even sit in a chair in is SWG, and even that is borked. So why is it so evil that EQ2 hasn't added it, when no other game has either?
the thing about EQ2 is that i never really played it longer then a few hours. been a while now since i tried that "trial of the isle" and the first thing that really freaked me out were not only the weird looks of my character, mostley the animations... gee, i felt like dropped into a hip hop videoclip with a medieval setting!
but to be honest im running out of games and i became so desperate that i even got a new account for WoW and well, thats bad. its not that WoW is so super crappy all in all but it tends to become really dull very quick, that other problem i have with WoW is the annoying hardcore-fascist-roleplayer community on the european servers where i was playing and i just couldnt resist to try one of these new RPPVP realms... doh!

i have to admit that post of anarchyart really made me laugh though i think Kem0sabe is right somehow because the one reason why i grabbed another WoW account was mostley because its just plain fun to maneuver your character around in that environment and someone already mentioned that travelling is fun in WoW, thats true but then thats all its good for.
so, since i need my fix, i will probably give EQ2 a try or activate my old EVE account again and i would really tend to EQ2 but EVERYTHING i read about it is that it is crap or was made crappy by SOE. I played SWG for some time and didnt like it all... since all i did from a certain point was grinding bols *shudders* i never ever want to grind bols again!! jesus...
the stuff i heard about SOE was so bad that i really think these guys are kinda evil, i mean... a company that messes up their game for the already paying community, "advancing" it prolly for "possible new players to come, who would like it better"... such a company MUST be evil and wont have any respect nor for their own work neither for the costumers they already have and that just scares me off.
well, i dont know... any pros to give EQ2 a try though the characters look crappy, move like the guys in GTA San Andreas, _ you cant lay down in a bed in a realistic fashion_ *wink*, its in the grasp of an evil company who might destroy everything i liked about it right then when i just paid for the next month...?

Have you even played WoW? you can sit in any chair in the game in a realistic fashion, even on benches, stone chairs in dungeons, etc. You can lay down as well on any bed in the game and look like your actualy sleeping in it.
Instead of making these absurd comments, please play the games in question.
I have used a chair in WoW and it meant nothing...
but its true that Sony did advance the game .. and the populatin dwindelled to a trickle... I do belive that EQ2 was in a battle agains WoW.. its a pity cause... I like EQ more, the relms where nicer... the chars look better.. and the quests where more.
I belive EQ2 should have not fought against WoW, but should have gone its own way and lead by example... now its too late.
Sony philosiophy seems evil indeed... and yeah they definately lost the custom of lots of their original customers... hoping to make a comeback... with new customers...
If any one knows the actual number of accounts EQ2 had 1 month or 3, after it was released.. id be interested to compare to any figures now... actually I know... cause the pvp server I am on is kinda empty... but im in Australia... so a majority of US players or Euro Players are at work or sleeping

Yeh he's just some weird fanboy who defends everything about the game, i really don't understand him.
I think the old concept freeport had a much darker and nicer to look at feeling about it, the current one is just horrible.
I think the animations are horrible to look at aswel, SOE have never been good here tho.
I think Nek and TS are boring zones and there needs to be changes
