You think you wanted a summer release, but you dont!
Nice one haha. Btw it seems that a lot of people didn't understand what you mean with that
Of course everyone understands, but it's not like we haven't heard it about 10 billion times over the course of the last 2 weeks. It's boring and tiresome.
Pick a stupid date to release a game? Bingo Blizzard nailed it congratz :pleased:
Why is it a "stupid" date? Games releasing in June-July-August are never as heavily trafficked as those released later. In NA, most have been back in school for about a month by that time and the 30th is a 3-day weekend for Labor Day.
If they had released it 2 months later, there only would have been more bitching about the "xx months since the last WoD update" so, once again, damned if they do, damned if they don't. LOL!

If you'd post the same news 10 billion times over the course of 2 weeks, i would still read them all...and it would never get boring and tiresome to me!

An early summer / June release in my opinion killed the potential for popular momentum for Wildstar in my opinion. Dreadful time to launch with all the barbecues, beaches, beers and if your in the market and single ..'babes'.
Either way because they also didn't wait until after the release of Warlords, Wildstar was strategically scuppered from the start and due to the lack of initial popularity from it's June start, it became old and unsupported, then lambasted and verbally slayed. Shocking really.
Legion's release date is bang on perfect and certainly means for me that we will be having some sort of announcement at Blizzcon ... hopefully regarding a future MMO or something bold and brilliant.
Either way, a new Alienware laptop is on it's way and looking forward to those improved draw distances and taking my Hunter forward.
cant wait. i will buy special edition collectors edition, awesome product design. i dont care what you think. wow is still the best mmo. say another game with that much to do.
The same old crap they pulled with MoP -> WoD. It was almost a 2 year wait. Now Legion is coming out 1 year after WoD's 6.2 patch.
Legion is going to disappoint so many people, but it will be better than WoD. I don't see how any expansion can be worse than that one.
WoD didn't look so disappointing before the release. Legion is already looking average at best, and it hasn't even released. One thing is clear, Legion will have even less content than WoD, and that's just not acceptable for the 60$ price tag. They either keep the same price or keep raising it, while delivering much less with each new "expansion", not to mention the quality has also went donwhill.
I'm willing to bet that most people will be gone before the year even ends. Blizzard can't retain the players with their current philosophy. Besides this is not 2004-2008 anymore, the competition is much stronger today. There are some MMOs that are already better than WoW ever was and they just keep advancing and growing, while WoW is declining day by day.
I was in love with WoW back in the day. So it's hard for me to see what it became. Blizzard earned so much money with it, yet they can't compare with the competition today. I just don't get it what are they doing with all that money, clearly not putting in into WoW. Either way I moved on, as it was the only natural thing to do. The sooner WoW dies, the sooner other MMOs will dare to innovate more.

blizzard deserves the hate they generate with the stupid decisions to not make content patches while they work on expansions and make their customer base wait a year or more for new content. If this was some small team or a indie studio they would have an excuse but its blizzard whom are loaded in money and supposed talent yet they screw over their own fan base far worse than any other large company i seen. At least other companies appreciate their fans.

Yep, officially out of ideas.
Release August 30th? So, full clear of all new dungeons and raids in first week of September? Or can they get'er done on the 31st?

Get in ....
What about those that were sure will not be released this year at all? I just hope is not buggy as WOD and they will return to pre WOD fun.

My philosophy exactly -- "Anticipate the worst possible outcome, and then you can be pleasantly surprised if it isn't quite as bad as expected."
