BDO is built around group play, you haven't played it, have you?

What's wrong with BDO? From a 55 perspective, this is why I quit:

    1) RNG where you gamble your progression; RNG is fine when it comes to .00000001% drop rate items, but I lost nearly 50+ million trying to PRI Mark of Shadows and TRI Bares Necklace with 45+ fail-stacks. I'm an outlier with those odds, but you'll hit that eventually. Doesn't feel good, nor fun, to lose those hours of farming and have nothing to show for it (except for 46 failstacks instead of 45).

    2) Daum death tax. If you intend on pushing past 55, you have to pay up 50 cents for each death. Sure, there's a choice, but unless you don't plan on participating in world bosses or grinding at Sausan (Let's be real, you aren't hitting 56 anywhere other than Sausan) then you better pay up. This, to me, is one of the most offensive pay mechanics I've seen in an MMO, and it astounds me that not much of the player-base is complaining about this issue.

    3) Content-release schedule. Whereas most MMO's take 1-2 years to "reset progression", this game is hitting expansions every few months. Why would I grind to 56 when it'll be trivialized with Valencia over Summer? Why farm for Witch's earrings when they'll be replaced by Molar earrings?

Basically, those 3 factors ruined the fun for me and I've since moved on.

Exactly why I left bdo for good, sieges are not even implemented yet and BDO without sieges is the same as Lineage 2 without sieges, useless. There is no point in grinding if u are not going to do anything with that gear, guild wars you might say, for prestige? No... killing mobs faster? Boring.

My guild supposedly was a 'hardcore' guild but most played casually due plums/bladers/ninjas/kunoichis not being released yet and do not even bother to play the game and have a mediocre mind set. The fact that players hinder themselves and guilds by just waiting a class they want to main is beyond my freaking grasp. Joins a hardcore guild to play casually because your main class is not out yet, wait WHAT?

Seen that problem with many other guilds, guess that problem can't really be addressed until NA catches up to KR; however, another problem will emerge. If every 1-2 months we are getting new content that changes gear dramatically, whats the point of playing the 12 hrs a day to get +15 ultimate and pris/duos/tris. Rather save all that money until sieges come out and upgrade gear or wait until NA catches up to KR.

Also the amount of carebear guilds is disgusting, never seen a KR mmorpg with so many carebears.

And these two post do more to promote the game than any white knight could.
BDO isn't a traditional MMORPG.  It's not about racing one character to max level for max gear and GG I win in two months.  Alts matter in this game perhaps more than any other MMORPG ever out there.  But it sounds like these two posts completely missed that point.  They might have missed a lot of other things about the game in the mad rush to 'max level.'
