Who is the hot Orc babe? She half human half Orc? Let me guess.... Love story with Ragnar and Hot Orc Chick.

What's with the Moses scene where a female Orc  floats a reed basket down the river looks like it's taken straight out of the "Ten Commandments" Probably Ragnar's and Orc Chicks love child.

Looks the movie might be quite cheesy. They probably butchered the lore to Hollywoodize it.

    Mark me down as skeptical

The half-orc is Garona Halforcen who murdered a king and played a major role in WoD. The baby orc floating down the river is Thrall. If you don't like WoW lore, I don't see any reason why you'd enjoy the movie.
    Cool thx.

Sounds like they borrowed and/or got quite a bit of inspiration from the story of Moses and the Bible.

There also was that post last week that brought attention to that passage from the bible and the release date of Legion:

Luke  8:30  " And Jesus asked him; saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion:"

    Interesting shit.

Did not see that post, but that is really interesting. I like how people come up with creative ways to come up with things like names, dates, etc in movies and games and what not.

I also, think it is pure genius.  Hell, i wonder if the movie was a marketing tool to being with all along.
The offer is a great idea and should snag them some returning vets and new players alike, but I think it may be a bit of a reach to consider the whole project a marketing tool. Making a movie like this quite an effort and cost, it seems like it would be a long way to go just for some advertising. It's kind of like saying, "I'm going to make a paper airplane! But first I'm going to plant this sapling, wait for it to grow, cut it down, mill it, turn it into paper, and then finally make the airplane." It's just a lot of work that seems to outweigh the result.

The Warcraft lore has been developed over decades now and it's something that people have enjoyed since the days of the RTS. I think they genuinely do want to tell their story to a larger audience, they've always had a knack for great cinematics so I wouldn't be surprised if making a movie is something they've wanted to do for a long time - and now have the money and clout to make it happen.

well I was right ... No joy for Canada on this one .. and if you read the information page on the WOW site .. only participating chains are doing this .. So chances are unless there is one there .. You get squat for going
There are NO participating chains in Canada

Folks heading out to see the Warcraft movie will have incentive to check out World of Warcraft when they're through. Four transmog items, a month of free game time and WoW + all expansions through Warlords of Draenor will be gifted to those attending the cinema.

Sorry to put a huge caveat on your story, but it is only certain theaters that qualify.  The closest in our area is more than 50 miles away.  So for the 2+ million people in the area only a very small portion of them will actually watch the movie in an approved theater.

The big theaters are not in on this, so what is the big deal???????
