E3 has come and gone, but not without some big news from Zenimax, Bethesda, and Elder Scrolls Online. We caught up with ESO’s Game Director Matt Firor to discuss the news out of E3, the next big update “Shadows of the Hist”, and what the future may hold for Tamriel.

Is it planned for 2016? 2017? 2020?

It was asked and answered with the information being easy to find. I would suspect this is "why nobody even asks for an ETA"...

Which really means, Absolutely going to skate by every one of these questions, we are not really concentrating on VR, housing will come when it comes so stop asking, and yeah yeah yeah instancing we know you hate it but it makes our job easier so shut up, but i'll tell you that we are always looking into it.
This is just an example of how I think Matt Firor answers questions. Then again, that's why he was hired. Total magician when it comes to interviews....slight of hand was so 1999....its all about slight of answers now.
So What Now?
There's an art to not answering questions when you don't want to in an honest and straightforward manner, but in order to do so you have to acknowledge explicitly that you're not answering that question and maybe even mention why you're not. If you don't do that, you give the impression that you think no one will notice that you're dodging and that, just makes you look silly.

You can buy the game for c. $20 on Amazon.com; less on most EU Amazon sites. Huge game. No need to spend anything else whilst you decide whether you want to buy any of the DLC. At which point you can rent or buy.
His answer about One Tamriel being "on the initial to do list" after the PC launch is telling imo. That is two years ago.
His answer about 1-50 suggests that he / ZoS recognise the pitfalls of simply getting rid of it.
His ESO Plus comment suggests that some people sub for the DLC and then unsub and maybe play two months with no Plus membership.
What is a subscriber though? How do you compare someone who buys the DLC every quarter but never takes out a Plus membership with someone who just does Plus for one month a quarter? The DLC typically costs more than one months sub. So to really answer the question Matt would have to talk about more than just Plus memberships.
And he confirmed what is coming in August. And gave a target date for providing info on housing - OK it was only "towards the end f the year" but it is a target.
