I will say, I am enjoying myself, just for the sheer newness of it, but I know it wont last. And unfortunately I will probably end up quitting long before I get to check out the Familiar Farm or any other coming soon feature. Its a real shame, as it sounds like fun. But just like in FF14, when I quit before they put in the Chocobo breeding stuff, it will probably be too little too late.
I dont get this whole concept of releasing half done products lately. I know they want to get exposure and get on the market, but you lose more people than you gain when we have to wait for updates to get the "whole" game. Yes it is an MMO, and it is always adding content, new zones, new level cap, new dungeons.... but it should be "feature complete". Especially when it comes to PVP gameplay and player housing. These are the game features that will keep players busy while waiting for new content. IF a player reaches cap, then has to sit and wait with nothing to entertain them, they will leave. Its not a new concept, but seems foreign to recent game devs. I dont get it.
But for some of my pet peeves though: Starting with items, mainly weapons, that look legendary already. A slew of wondering animals like wolves, foxes, boars, etc., that quests give us to kill...gives it such an arcade feeling. And what's with always having to kill animals! Also, animals dropping coin and possible loot...really? I only reached level 4...couldn't take it anymore. NOTHING NEW. What brought my attention to this game was the mounts and flying. Well, I'll go back to Aion, EQ2 or WoW for that because nothing exciting here to make me start all over.

People were always on the look for the "next big thing" not giving other MMO's a decent chance. Now we're here in a sea of mediocre MMO's. The worst part is that this was our own doing. I can't even blame the dev's at this point.

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'

Massive amounts of crippling bugs like slowdown that go unanswered since closed beta.
No form of bestiary system where you can view your pets in some form of housing or farm, really missed chance there.
Combat has combos yay!.... yet only one combo is valid....ohhhh. So you end up doing the same shit pretty much every fight.
Pet capturing is very very shallow and requires 0 skill. No stats for monsters in bestiary or after dismissal so you have no idea what has what stats at what levels.
Loads of combat glitches and path finding issues.
Shitty Quest Hubs with boring quests.
As for the "sexism", well I dont understand why females hate males for thinking they are beautiful and drawing them as such. If you want females to look as females see themselves, then I suggest more females make games.
Maybe if they spent a good deal of effort on the game, released double or even triple the content then yeah it would be fun.....but right now its kind of like work honestly, not fun at all. I do like the slower XP gain and the actual premise though... just wish it was done a little more professionally.

Of course, maybe they DON'T want an immersive setting, in which case it's Moirae's and any other player's right to not like that MMORPG for not having an immersive (by their standards) setting.
Problem #1: some of the names are like "ADFKIHSIHFAADF" so this is a real pain while spam is flashing across the screen.
Problem #2: the Block List maxes out at 50. Hit that and my character isn't even level 15 yet.
A much better solution would be to right click the name and hit Report which would automatically block... obviously with a much more greatly expanded maximum list. People are begging for that on the forums and in Region chat.
-No right click block/ignore option from the chat.
-Max of 30 taming slots while theres hundrends of creatures in the world to collect (yes they use the word collect in their ads)
-Laggy/glitchy combat imput and target selection.

They are going for the male players, but ignoring the female. Most women aren't ok with looking like porn stars. Far too many game companies seem to have a serious difficulty with giving respect to women. You want good armor? Check out Mass Effect and Dragon Age. Single player, but they don't treat women like giant whores (with the exception of Morrigan. Can't really get behind that horrible outfit). The reason I say it's asian is because of the art style and because their games tend toward the "whorish" outfits.
By ignoring female gamers and pandering to men, they are ignoring 50% of the population of the planet. To me, this is completely idiotic. If you want to expand your playerbase, you don't immediately insult women. The men in this game don't look like children wearing porn star clothing, so why do the women? It's insulting.
It's a pity because the scenery is beautiful even if the rest of the game is a rehash of games that were released 5 years ago with more joke promises of "adding more later". Here's a hint... people are tired of the release of partially done games developers. If you can't release a full game at the start, then stop trying.
10 years ago I would have played this. Back then I was playing games like Rappelz, Archlord, Perfect World and Rohan.
You can draw women beautifully without making them look like 12 year old girls dressed like sluts. I have no problem with men liking women. In fact, I rather like it when my husband admires me, and bad or good, loved it when men whistled at me as I walked past when I was younger. What I don't like is the slut look.
