I believe this site needs to do what ever this site needs to do.  It's a business, they know what needs to be done !

In fact, it's like an mmo made with passion ( before greed ). Everyone wins !

Could you elaborate a bit on this? I wouldn't know a single case where I couldn't realize a design from a company - not with the so many options we have today. Or did you mean the actual websites including all code behind it? When I hear "design" I usually associate a 3000-layer-photoshop-file with it that is thrown at my face XD

Really sorry to hear the migration didn't work out. :/

Winning a discussion is not what it's about. If you could pass insight to someone or learn something from it in return - noone can really loose, can they?

I think it's safe to say we won't be going forward with the Drupal work done. We are STILL redesigning the site, but it's more likely we will keep the Cold Fusion back end because at least we know it's stable. The design that Evan created for Axelerant to take live looked a lot different than what you all saw because the Devs couldn't replicate what Evan made. It's very likely that Evan can and will update a lot about the new design of and when we decide to just move forward with a facelift and not an entire back end upgrade.
Nice to hear that you are staying with ColdFusion backend.  Been coding in that language since it first released by Allaire back in the day.  Its rock solid, I realize a lot of people prefer other languages, but the flexibility and ease of coding structure makes it an awesome choice.  Good luck with it Bill, and if you ever have an opening for a ColdFusion coder, let me know  :)

So this Evan guy made what a full team of "developers" in a "professional" company could not accomplish?

Give this Evan guy a double Oreo cookie because I think he's the best shot you have at sorting this out.

I think they may have underestimated the sheer volume of nerds you've rounded up here.

Best of luck with whatever direction you end up taking!

I am also in the technology field, and having tried quite a few times to deal with Indian companies, it never went well. I have never dealt with this company but after three tries they would be DONE. I hope they got paid on delivery not promises.
Same problem happening in internet marketing/paid search industry. They work penny on the dollar but companies always come back when they want quality.

All I know is the forum system is better but still seemingly crappy.  You can login on the main page, click a article and then have to login again into the forum, pretty terrible.

The constant adds all over and the front page of the site being such a mess is what keeps me on different sites rather than here.  Some times I can't even change page numbers because it thinks it's an add and sends me to some crap site.  This place just needs a complete rework imo.

Drupal isn't the issue here, it's perfectly capable of what you're trying to achieve. The devs you hired are apparently not.

What is this site doing for you:  ds.serving-sys.com ?

It seems to be a website that isn't trusted very well.  It has been accused of serving malware.  What is up with that/

Ye,I came here to see the new site and poop,it's still the old one!

It wouldn't be a proper MMORPG site without bad coding, bugs, and delays.

These are not bugs, they are features.
It's just that they feature bugs.

Although I'm sure those who run this site have a list of things they can't do with this site and could do with the new one, I for one like this unique funky set-up. I don't have any problems with it.

As to things like a better mobile forum, I and many others suggested going with Tapatalk a couple of years back. Maybe it's time to take another look at that?

IMO this whole site upgrade has become a total embarrassment for those who are involved in the coding.

For how long was the new page in the making? We have been told that it would be coming "soon" for YEARS.

First try to get it live. Failed, postponed.
Second try, failed after 2(?)days, postponed.
    Bugs, bugs, bugs.

When will be the next "soon"?

A professional company couldn't afford to spend more than about 3 month -all incl.- for the set up of a medium sized projekt like this (and it is not like you have to get the new site's content together in first place, as it is already there). Otherwise they would be out of business.

Upgrades like these happen on a daily basis allover the interwebnets, it's not like a rocket launch to the moon. And yet here it is the most desperate attempt.

You are a professional website, what about you hire some professionals?
It is embarrassing. For the developers.
I dunno I feel it's more embarrassing that you're actually still pay these developers. Lets hope third times the charm.

I dont have a problem with the new site, easier to browse on a phone.  But, I DO have a problem with that white background.  It made it really hard to read.

I cant deal with white websites they kill my eyes especially white forums.  Glad the old site is back just for the colors, Im okay with a new site just not a white website for something that has allot of text.

I saw the new site/layout the other day and I was really confused. Features and sections felt out of place or were just plain missing. The current/old site may seem to be an antique now but it works for me. Please try to make the new site as much like this one as you can.

    Thanks
