I am really enjoying One Tamriel. I am currently making an effort to finish Coldharbour before heading back to previous favorite zones and others I havent finished or even been to yet.

I also bought the Alliance Mount and the Alliance Hood. They look great I think. Of course $25 to what pretty much equals Horse Armor DLC is a bit steep but I bought it anyway since I had plenty of crowns saved up.

I am waiting for a sale to buy on PC. Used to have it on Xbox, so don't really want to pay again :/

One Tamriel is what it needed from the start!

You can find the base game for as little as $10 and I have seen the Gold Edition as low as $40.

I wasn't one of the players who complained about not having this feature at launch. I can't believe the company has redesigned its game again based on some players' wishes. I hope it continues to develop and draw players.

Overall, it was a great move. Unfortunately, it created a potentially annoying situation for many players. It's great that we now have the ability to go anywhere, anytime, but removing natural level progression has allowed the already high-level players to simply run their farming routes at the expense of other players.

That dolmen that just appeared 30 seconds away - don't even bother. Unless you're on top of it when it appears, the groups of max-level players will have already killed everything by the time you get there. That area mini-boss? Just spam the crap out of your AOE so you can hope to even hit it before they kill it within seconds. Even then, you didn't do enough damage to be able to loot it, though.

I love the idea of playing with my cross-faction RL friends, but I hate the fact that it opened up new ways for people to burden others.

That's more the case in the zones dropping the new overland sets that are the consensus most desirable. Bangkorai is very crowded with CP160+ stamina DPS players going after the Spriggan set and so is Malabal Tor with magicka DPS players going after the Spinner set. It's mostly a dolmen, world boss and public dungeon thing - regular delves are not as crowded.

Most other zones are quieter. Also, once the initial rush to get those sets is over, things will settle down.

In case you don't know how it works, the mat harvesting is a 50/50 split between mats appropriate for your own level and your level of crafting - not the overall crafting level per se, but how many points you have used to train the ability that lets you work higher tier mats.

For example if you have a CP160 with no points spent on Tailoring (even if your clothing may be at 50 and you maybe trained Keen Eye and the Outfitter hireling) will get a 50/50 split of ancestor silk and jute and the mob kills will give you hide or rubedo. If you train up the tailoring by 1 point, you'll then find ancestor silk and flax and mob kills give you leather and rubedo... and so on with more points spent in tailoring.

You could actually just use one alt to farm mats and respec the skill up or down depending on what you want to farm... although the respec costs could get expensive if you do that often.

Yep understood but like many have a max  toon in game so now will just make a alt to hit up mat gathering with but  thanks  though

Not how it is working out in my experience - although I know what you mean and I am sure that e.g. some Dolmens are being "camped". Mega-server though so hard to know whether they are camped in every instance of said Dolman etc. As for area bosses they are certainly not quick kills - even for high levels, lots of opportunity for others to join in.

Its a compromise though. Some people said they wanted it and its a good tag line for the launch of the Gold Edition. May be more to the change as well. The zones are certainly busier - which is good. Performance - in my experience (and login issues aside) seems better - easier on the cpu?

It sounds really tempting since I already own the game, but has the crafting changed? I could see myself run around and quest and craft and do dungeons. But the crafting was horrible in the old system.

Loving One Tamriel. Unfortunately I found I have to turn off accepting duels because every time I enter a city I get spammed with requests, but I suspect a lot of other players are doing the same as well.

You kinda miss the point! Usually only games who are kinda unknown comes to mmorpg.com and pay them to "cover" a News about their game. Normally , mmorpg.com staff cover News about games in general, for free, especially high quality games , which from my point of view, ESO is a AAA+ MMO.

This is the first time mmorpg.com "cover" a paid News about a AAA+ MMO.

NOTE: Please understand the difference between Paid News like this one, and .. ads in general!

You can find the base game for as little as $10 and I have seen the Gold Edition as low as $40.
Hmm?  Where do you see it anywhere for 10 bucks.  I might try it again for 10 bucks since I have a new cpu and gpu since I last tried it.

    First thing I did.
It's one of the first things I do in most every mmo:
    1. Turn off or disable auto-invites. Set duel and guild invites to auto-decline.
    2. Move global chat and trade to their own tab.

FTFY. Thanks ZoS for spending money on mmorpg.com and not feeling entitled to free coverage - even though you do get quite a bit. I'm sure a few of us around here appreciate that.
Man! You really don't know the difference between ads in general ( aka banners , tv ads, etc ) and News paid coverage.

News paid coverage it's like there is this Tv station which covers for free News in general and someone comes to them and pay the News station to make an interview with them. THAT is ..pathetic. This shows that their product it's not doing good.

From my point of view ( and I do have experience in advertising ) , this kind of paid News is bad for business ! It's much cheaper then renting a banner spot for exemple, or a video ad on youtube or twitch. And when someone is cheap and doing bad advertising , well ... only ones in the business knows how that might turns out !

I am not expecting guys like you to understand this, so it's all good :)

    Cheers!
