The Guild Wars 2 site has a new developer blog from producer Paul Ella. In it, he reveals the first information about Legendary Armor and how the team has worked diligently to provide it with a unique look that changes between when a player is in or out of combat. Heavy armor is featured in the video to show off this fantastic addition, with cloth and leather previews to come at a later time.

Theres actually 3 quiver skins in the game. Two in the gemstore and the other can be acquired in-game in a bunch of different ways.
As for the armor, I think it looks nice. The animation looks sick. But I was kinda hoping it would have an aura or particle effects around it. Maybe it has its own footprint animation as well, just like the legendary weapons? But now I'm just curious to see what the light armor and median armor is gonna look like.
You can never have enough particle effects Kappa.
The official post says that the armor is "still some months off" so theres still a chance for some changes, but eh I doubt it. They probably need those months to finish off the other two sets as well as the new raid.
This game is CPU bound not GPU bound. So it is not a stress on GPU's.

I wonder why these game developers are so shity with no imagination with no vision of the game
So your problem is that the people starting later are paying less than you...
As if that isn't the case with any other game. In your world it is better for a company to charge $10 for the old game 3 years after their release than packing it for free with the new expansion.
What is a valid complaint is saying that $60 for the expansion is too much, but if we look closely it is on par with other AAA MMORPG expansions and it basically includes a Living World Season pass that already added 2 new zones.
Of course that those guys starting 3 years later also miss the Living World season 1 and 2 and if they want season 2 they need to buy it.
Currently playing: GW2
Going cardboard starter kit: Ticket to ride, Pandemic, Carcassonne, Dominion, 7 Wonders
WoW's biggest market and I'm guessing GW2's as well is in Asia hence why maybe Guild Wars 2 has opted to please them first before any other consumer continent because it's the most likely to appeal to them, their biggest consumers.
WoW does that too, you buy the base game, then you buy expansions. This just happened to give the base game client again along with the expansion. WoW gives old expansions for free when you buy the base game. Same idea just backwards. If you already have the game and the expansion, you dont need the game again. InWOw you dont need the base game or the expansions again either.
This could end up being very interesting.
The other people do shitty stuff isn't an argument, it's simply how gaming has worked for years. Expansions come out and more or less invalidate much of the older content. Whether you were required to purchase the base or if the base came with the expansion is a case by case basis, but there is precedence for both.
You being upset is 100% on you. That's your right, but I won't say I feel any empathy. Especially since this is partly the way gaming has worked, especially mmorpgs, have worked for literally years.
I will say the argument for the price of the expansion is completely valid since it did seem pricey for what we actually got. Although with two living story updates which have added zones, that price seems a bit more reasonable. Especially considering how common season passes are now, and are always a $20-30 addon.
Free players and base game owners are NOT the same. Free players do not have access to selling items on the TP. They cannot mail items. They don't get daily login rewards. They can't trade gold for gems. They have a plethora of restrictions that economically cripple them. Anet came up with a fair, but harsh system for limiting free accounts, and it works.
Moreover, legacy players have rewards that f2p players do not. It isn't just a character slot on Heart of Thorns purchase. Legacy players were given an exclusive (in other words, priceless) outfit. Legacy players have likely unlocked season 2 of the Living Story for free, whereas F2P accounts can neither freely access nor trade gold for gems to obtain these chapters. Active legacy players have gotten to experience events and earn rewards that are no longer available to new players.
A three year old game that had an approximate value of $10 at the time going F2P is not some great douche move on Arenanet's part. You got your compensation. You had your time. The game did nothing that every other title hasn't. In fact, the only point you can make at this point was that the f2p announcement should have been made much earlier and before any discount sales. Take some blood pressure pills; you've had far too much salt.
The difference here is that you can get a version with 2 character slots and a very limited inventory for free. But honestly would the base game be $10 by now anyways and buying 3 character slots actually cost you $30 or so and even then you also have to buy extra bag space for all your characters.
You are of course entitled to your opinion but I think you are being silly here. The one thing ANET did wrong is that they should have announced the whole thing earlier, preferably 3 months before launch.
