    Simple reply...not interested.
    I do love fps games but this OW is simply not good enough.I wouldn't say it is real bad but for me a long time pvp arena player,it does nothing well to get me to even want to play it for free.
    Furthermore ,what is all this FREE banter,i can play UnrealTournament for FREE without pretending it is some gimmick or sale or SPECIAL offer.
    You know who is behind UnrealTournament?The players,the actual pvp gamer's and amazing mappers that know how to make skillful great maps for fps combat.You know who makes Blizzard's game and maps....Blizzard,lol,enough said.

    We have a choice,play a game designed by gamer's or one that is designed by businessmen....ummm easy choice for me..

    Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

    We all know that it is not about the game. You don't like Blizzard. You HATE Blizzard. If a Blizzard employee comes and say hi to you you will kill him. You don't care if the game is good or not. The only thing you care about this game that it is made by Blizzard. I'm actually suprised a bit that you didn't try to compare this game with FFXI too. Well that's an improvement too I guess...

    I wish they would allow you to download the game before the test weekend.

    I sold my overwatch for one reason. I hate having to rely on a team to win. You need a tank and a healer if you want to win. When I was playing it was hard to get people to play a healer. Sometimes you will get 2 or 3 tanks. Sometimes you will get 4 snipers on offense... If you got bad team comp you will lose unless someone is super beyond average skill level.

    Great move. Not having a trial makes this a good time to see what all the hype is about and why the game has 20+ million players. Should net them decent sales afterwards.

    Supposedly 20mil copies sold, that's what, 5mil active players in a best case scenario now? /3 platforms, and the number doesn't even seen impressive anymore.

    Oh and this game purely sold on marketing hype and the reviewers that were obviously paid very well. They made it seem like it's a GOTY material..which is just sad. I mean come on, I know it's been a pretty shitty year for PC, but there were still at least 10 better games that released this year. OW is just another mediocre shooter.

    Those that wanted to try it out of curiosity are already long gone. A trial won't bring them back, or anyone else at this point.This is a game that is already declining.

    There is no I in Team. But there is an "I" in pie. And there's an "I" in meat pie. Anagram of meat is team.

    I love OW, and I know it's an intentional design decision, but the only thing that I really dislike is the Hero switching mechanic. I prefer to lock into characters and play with a locked team.

    Try to be excellent to everyone you meet. You never know what someone else has seen or endured.

    Sounds like the new brawl mode on Heroes of the Storm.

    Maybe it's a general problem with Blizzard's understanding of freedom and balance.

    Hero switching is one of my favorite Overwatch innovations. I love counter-swaps and being able to counter their counter-swaps. Beyond just countering heroes, you can try to coutner players that are being particularly effective. And it opens up tactical gameplay like using one hero for one point with the plan to switch to another for the other points (like, being locked into Symmetra would be horrible after the first point on defense on any map).

    Hero switching is not an OW innovation. TF2 allows for it as well.

    Tribes had it in 1998

    its a sure sign that box sales have slowed down.
    It's a big difference for a game to "go down" or sales to "slow down" .

    I mean a game is new for the first months , so it's absolutely normal for sales to slow down!

    So why bother commenting ?!

    Just to add: you are mistaking the term innovation for design decision. In general, to achieve innovation you need much more than a single choice.

    @Nepheth
    @IceAge

    The white knighting is strong in this thread, why so angry to chase others away that don't agree.

    I really wanted to like Overwatch, especially since I'm fairly unsatisfied with the MMO scene. My daughter loves it, so I guess they scored a point there. I didn't enjoy it at all, which is a problem for me with Blizzard games right now. It's not that I hate Blizzard, they've taken their design philosophy to a younger bracket, appealing to them and making shallower games. I get it, kids make the majority of the gaming market. I would say Blizzard is doing exactly what they wanted, except my daughters game just sits and collects dust now.
    Happily playing Vanilla and BC WoW, again, since September 2016.

    That pretty much says it all!

    ... and is hard for me to believe that not 1 game from all of the 6  Blizzard games , you actually don't like because the design philosophy.

    Is called "idontlikethatcompanyanymoreeveniftheybringthebestgameintheworld" ! Take it or leave it .

    I mean, I am taking me as an exemple! I hate gameforge & aria games, I also don't like Trion at all. They can have the best game in the world, but I will not touch it if is published and/or developed by those 3 !

    It's quite simple! I get it!

    PS: I am wondering, how would you describe a "mature" game?! I mean, I have 34 years old and I play WoW, D3, Heroes of the Storm & Overwatch ( Hah! Not all of those in the same time . Just WoW now and D3+HoTs+Overwatch here and there! ) , and I find them pretty .. good for any age, not just my age, or "kids" age !

    So .. let's see some "mature" games exemples here, shall we?
