WoW WotLK - Got tired of where the game was going and how they were milking their loyal player base.
WoW Cata - Came back at some point to try things out, wasnt too happy with how the game had turned out but then found out panda's were coming into the game and i just lost what little respect i had left for the lore and quit again. Btw panda's were originally meant as a joke so those 2 smart asses can shut up. Also it doesnt excuse all the other lore related to the pandas that was added that simply didnt make any sense at all.
WoW Legion - Came back for the first time in a long time, at first i was impressed with the quests, story and artifacts but as time went on i realised how anti social the game had become and how all the classes had lost their identity. Quit last night after playing Shaman, warrior, rogue and druid to 110 and realsied i wasnt really happy playing. I kept making another class and thinking this time i was going to have fun. It never really happened. The game has become super shallow.
Heroes of the storm - Quit after playing hero league up to around rank 17 and then after a game as Zeratul i had 3 people from my own team adding me on battle.net to tell me i was a peice of shit and they were going to rape my family. Apparently some of my talent choices for Zeratul were ''wrong'' and i cost them the game. I usually have a thick skin but these 3 were so agressive it just upset me too much and couldnt be bothered to log back in.
Overwatch - Loved that game, but after listening to days on end the conversations and whining of americans on voice coms whenever we lost a game... i just had enough..lol
Wildstar - Stuck with this one for well over a year. My breaking point was seeing a figures and sales report posted on this very forum and losing any faith that the game would survive another year.

I am curious about this one, can you elaborate a bit?

And yet here you are whining...

I didnt really mean to generalise Americans, it was just mainly the time of day i was playing i think most of my friends on that game ended up being American. Some were nice and laid back but a lot of them became very negative whenever we lost a game. Our win rates were around 60% and 2 ranking sites had some of us listed as the top players in the world on PS4 yet it never seemed enough for them. I grew tired of the negativity and was going through some stress at work so this was the last thing i wanted to come home to.

How am i whining? The OP asked us for our reasons so i posted.

The only people who really need elaboration on that are those who have never played a Multiplayer video game before
Please do not respond to me, even if I ask you a question, its rhetorical.
I do lose interest in things but I never have that sort of reaction to video games.
I suppose in the spirit of the thread, in Lineage 2 I got tired of the changes they were making so lost interest. I felt they didn't have a good sense of the world they created.
In lord of the rings online it was the helm's deep content. played through it once and found it atrocious. Just badly done, not epic at all. And it looked like they set it up for players to do it over and over.
With that, the stupid "carrying apples/carrying the basket back" quest and that horrible set of quests to remake that town (can't remember the name) I realized that the developers had lost touch with the IP and left the game.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."

Having a bad day? Why so sour? The reason I asked is because he single out Americans in his post, I just wanted to know if there was a specific reason, since Europeans are just as bad in my experience of COD and Battlefield.
WoW: Paladin; After they dumbed down all the classes and removed skills from the different paths you could pick. Also the removal of the talent tree's. I know it affected all classes but my fav class became so dumbed down it I hated it. I could no longer spec as a Shockadin and that was my fav spec for PvP.
DAOC - was about 6 months after TOA launch when a single 8 man that had level 8-10 TOA skills and gear wrecked my guilds 32 man raid who were mostly in lvls 4-5. Said f-that and left because no way was I PVE raiding to reach the same parity in PVP.
Lineage 2 - quit when I did the math and realized at my present leveling speed it would be about 1.5 years to cap (72). I was very tired of being one shot in sieges. The cap moved up 4 levels shortly afterwards so made right call.
WOW - BC launch was eminent and my 40 man raiding guild fell apart as the focus shifted to smaller group content and it was clear the designs weren't moving towards a more open, virtual world experience.

Troy Online - It was shutdown. STO - played during beta and thought this was decent. After that it was all downhill. After 2 months of trying to play it and waiting for something to grab me, I finally said enough. I have come back to the game a few times but never lasted more than a few hours as the turd aspect is still there. TERA - I wanted to like this game and did initially. The whole move the mini peoples among senseless questing doomed it for me. NeverWinter - This game felt like the same thing over and over. COuld never get back into it after the initial awe factor. Aion - End game was horrendous and never felt the desire to make alts. Rift - After the initial awe of the game wore off, everything felt generic, trite and not fun anymore. I have gone back a few times but its still has the same blah effect from when I left.
What a shame... It was honestly the best game I've played Star Wars Galaxies. However, the constant gold farming / selling and the blatant cash grab was just too much for me.
If he had a valid point about why he felt the Panda's Expansion was bad, then that would have been something else. But saying you quit a game strictly because of Panda's , well .. that's sad!
Quote from my OP: "I was already fed up with the direction WoW was taking, the game was
getting increasingly fast paced, casual and shallow, not the same game I
fell in love with in 2004." Panda wasn't the only reason, just the tipping point (which is what this thread is about).
Read what the topic is about before posting.
My bad! Was just reading ( more or less ) WTF Panda's...Panda's everywhere

I honestly can't think of one single instance when I rage-quit. I just fade away and lose interest or something else interests me more.

I think just about every MMO I've played at some point I said, "Phuk this!". Too many reasons and too many games to list and to be specific. And no, I'm not one of those that believes the MMO genre is dying. It's just I have yet to play a game that has never gotten old and/or boring after a while. That said, there are plenty of those MMOs that I have said, "Meh, why not?" and tried them a second or third time. Just to later say, "Phuk this again!".
WoW - Class Changes...AGAIN this time in Legion. I truly do not understand how developers don't understand that people don't like change. It's a popular saying for a reason. Now get off my lawn you hooligans!

This time around though i feel like they have totally sucked any sense of identity from ALL classes. First expac where i just plain hated hunter. Why would you take away traps and give them a paladin bubble???
