Nice. I kind of stopped on my Rogue because artifact progression felt too slow.

Try to be excellent to everyone you meet. You never know what someone else has seen or endured.

I'll just wait for flight in 7.2 before returning.

The only serious complain I have about Legion is the kitten artifact power system. I'm a person who loves leveling alts. And finally I can play with my alts without grinding my ass off. I can't wait!

I'm on a brake since early December and will return when 7.2 goes live. I was playing for 5 months continuously which is the longest period for me since mid MoP.

I have to wonder why do people complain about no flying? Why do you want to travel through a zone in a minute or even less?

How do you feel then in other MMOs, which have only ground mounts and at least 2x bigger zones?

Because after you've stopped to smell the roses 100 times over, you just want to get from point A to point B as fast as possible. Especially if you're out mining/herbing/skinning etc.

Exactly, WoW is a very repetitive game, but one of the draws was that you could condense how tedious tasks were with flight. Why run around a mountain when you can fly over it? Its even more true for people with alts, especially with how rep intensive this expansion is since it correlates with profession advancement. Some classes that you have professions on, you may not want to always be on them for long periods of time, yet you dont want to reroll a profession on a class you like just because of this expansion. I would say that profession advancement wont matter after this expansion, but thanks to the xmog book collecting thing, even recipes from BC etc are getting used, so crafting does have a degree of persistence depending on which ones outside of mainly tailoring (for bags).

    Agreed.

Additionally, the map design for High Mountain and Stormheim isn't exactly ground mount friendly. It's pretty neat to do it the first few times, but when you're doing the daily grind, it becomes tedious. Even with Goblin Gliders from engineering, which is a life saver, many of these areas just suck. Having access to water walking for decent portions of Azuna is super helpful too. So glad my Shaman is an engineer.

Ultimately, Blizzard still hasn't figure out the whole "let's not make everything dungeons/raiding focused" after cap. The Suramar quest chain is a good start, but many just also hate the zone with a passion given the mechanics behind most of it. How they handled the dailies this time around was pretty good too. Since you only needed to do a few for the daily faction, but many more could be very rewarding in terms of gear/ap/crafting mats/etc.

Guild Wars 2 is still light years ahead of WoW in terms of things to do once you hit cap though. There's always something going on and/or something to work towards.

Ah I guess that makes sense for WoW as it's "journey content" is pretty much garbage, and it's environments forgettable.

Why does Blizzard even bother with all that then, when the world they've designed is the opposite of immersive. They could've easily developed a lobby based game where you just queue for dungeons/raids (Something like Destiny).

Especially my druid was only half the fun without flightform.

I loved gathering with him, went on for hours even when i didn't really need anything or had already much more than enough.
It had something relaxing to it.

The journey content and environments are good. It's just that you can only see it so many times before it gets repetitive. I have 7 level 110 characters, I've seen all the Legion zones, done all the quests, been through all of the environments, many times over. And as Kaneth mentioned, a couple of the zones have some very annoying terrain/elevations. It would make it so much more convenient to be able to fly over it.

I need to resub soon and finish Legion's story before next expansion is announced.

I took two toons to 110 and couldn't stomach doing any more. Normally I sub in August and unsub in Jan, rinse repeat. This year I unsubbed after the Halloween events and won't sub again until August. I don't raid and I really can't stand the faction quests. The grind for getting the artifact leveled up is way to slow to hold my interest and I'm more of an old school player.

This is the first expansion I have liked since Wrath, but in my old age, I just don't have the patients to grind anymore.

I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.

Then you are not playing the game, just grinding.

Grinding is a big part of playing mmo's though. The point was, taking 5 minutes to go from one world quest location or mining node to another, instead of taking 2 minutes, isn't enjoyable. Especially when you've seen all of the content that exists between point A and point B 7 times over.
