Abstaining as well. I tried to enjoy most of these titles, but they all had something that made me dislike them after a bit. I really wanted to like BDO but just couldn't. Never even used all my pre-order stuff. 2016 was a bad year
I'm sorry but I tried a handful of these and I can't really say one is the "best". Abstaining and vote for none of the above. I think its much harder to compete with the heavyweights in the genre nowadays.
BDO Hands down, one of the best MMOs made. Lots of people hate on it for stupid reasons. (pop-in (check high end mode and it goes away for the most part)) Game is amazing but it's kinda like eve, hard to get into at first but once you understand its like playing Lineage 2 in the days of old. Love it.
Let's give BDO some credit. At least people are still talking about it; pro or against does not matter, The rest of the list goes without a whimper in the mmorpg atmosphere.

It depresses me to vote for something as mundane as Black Desert.... but comparing it to the competition is like comparing Mario Kart to Big Rig's Over the Road Racing.
To date, the only MMOs that have managed to get me to play for more than a year have been:
Ultima Online
Final Fantasy XI
World of Warcraft
Final Fantasy XIV
Original Guild Wars (Separated due to it being a lobby game).
Probably had the most fun out of Blade & Soul and Tree of Savior out of that list, though.
Looking at that list, it seems like I only stay with Subscription games, despite being a fan of B2P.
Would like to play Elder Scrolls Online as well, but I just don't have the time. But I'm sure it would keep me occupied for a year or so.
Due to frequent travel in my youth, English isn't something I consider my primary language (and thus I obtained quirky ways of writing). German and French were always easier for me despite my family being U.S. citizens for over a century. Spanish I learned as a requirement in school, Japanese and Korean I acquired for my youthful desire of anime and gaming (and also work now). I only debate in English to help me work with it (and limit things). In addition, I'm not smart enough to remain fluent in everything and typically need exposure to get in the groove of things again if I haven't heard it in a while. If you understand Mandarin, I know a little, but it has actually been a challenge and could use some help.
Also, I thoroughly enjoy debates and have accounts on over a dozen sites for this. If you wish to engage in such, please put effort in a post and provide sources -- I will then do the same with what I already wrote (if I didn't) as well as with my responses to your own. Expanding my information on a subject makes my stance either change or strengthen the next time I speak of it or write a thesis. Allow me to thank you sincerely for your time.
And yes, 2017 is hopefully better than 2016 was for MMOs.

Maybe you should refrain making such a bold statement when you are so out of touch with reality.
I noticed that BDO has become the "Marmite" of MMOs recently, it's either you love it or hate it.
But I don't understand the amount of abuse it receives.
Although it is far from being a masterpiece, I believe that people that doesn't understand the appeal of BDO either didn't played it or played it for few minutes (like the guy who made a review about his 15 minute experience), or worse they don't understand video-games, and MMO specifically.
Didn't vote since 2016 didn't offer me anything worth playing. 2017 will most likely be the same. If you want to include SP games, that would be a different story.
I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.

we realy did get nothing better ? all these games are terrible....
played all of them sadly... got the most fun blade and soul ( until max level )
and tree of savior was actualy fun until you realize you got nothing else to do that level up and the main quest stop
2016 was a great year for MMOs, just not for the new ones. Which is pretty sad.
We're not doing ourselves any favors by dropping the RPG from mmo...
No wonder we're getting what we're getting.
