OK OK I won't touch it with a 10 foot pole. I would hate to give SOE new money and have there marketing folks think "new" subscribers are coming. The problem is there are no MMO's that are sparking my interest. Right now i'm actually enjoying Battlefield (not battlefront) 2. Its a little to realistic for my taste but the online teamwork is amazing.
I will continue to monitor this forum in hopes that a drastic change or a pre-CU server comes quickly.

Have any of you guys tried out the SWCombine? I guess you could call it a Star Wars Web-based MMORPG. Might be just what you guys need for your SW fix, if you're a more hardcore SW Fan/RPer.
It's just about as far away from NGE as you can get and still use a computer, at any rate.

Waiting on: Pirates of the Burning Sea and Pirates of the Carribean Online
Reading the publish info and the Summit notes /yawn I don't see anything interesting being done with the game. I don't regret leaving at all. I'm curious to see how it all plays out, but I can't think of anything that would make me go back. Lots of good stuff ahead in other games. Oblivion for now /hugs Oblivion.
SOE is setting very low standards for mmo's so I would stay away from any of their titles even if it is SWG, I have more fun playing the old BF1 Galactic combat mod then the NGE. Like one of the posters said though try the free trial and see for yourself how bad it is before u waste money on SOE's garbage. Even KOTOR 1&2, Jedi academy ,Republic comando and Empire at war are better as well and will save u $$.
Yeah.. I gotta get back to finishing Kotor. Maybe that's good methodone.
And it'll get me ready for when Bioware makes SWG2

I feel like I need an intervention. It's awful.
But I know it's not the same game I loved. I know I can't do more than RP in it, since the combat style is impossible for me. Even knowing the suck that it now is, the resisting is difficult.

Or ... like me, make your annual pilgrimage to Disney's MGM Studios next week. You can stand in front of the AT-AT, sit on the speeder, ride the shuttle with C3PO, and visit one of the best SW stores in existence. ^_^

I often wonder about this...
I have some acquaintances and friends who got involved in some really ugly relationships. The hatred truly flowed between the 'partners', and each was sorry they EVER got involved with that person.
Greatful to be out of those relationships, they would rebel and go find many new and interesting people to date, and become involved with.
EVENTUALLY, every one of them, during the quiet times after a movie or just spilling their guts to their friend, would comment that..."I miss her."
I'm always the slap-in-the-face of reality, and that's when they get hit with the TRUTH. They don't miss her. They miss what they THOUGHT was her. They miss what they HOPED was her. But now they are forgetting the 99% of the negative aspects of her, and need that slap in the face to snap out of it.
