Cool little bit, you can see Yela's asteroid field from the surface:

Also on the article's thumb, this is PG Yela (shown on the editor), one of the moons of Crusader, so that asteroid field is that same that surrounds Yela on the live game (this one).

Just that sky feels odd to be so blue, seeing this moon should be only handling a thin atmosphere.

Filler video before releasing another concept ship for sale, stay tuned... Don't forget to bring your wallets, don't worry even if the game fails you are supporting ground breaking technology, oh also 2020 beta confirmed, for real this time.

Basically clicking away text windows ruins every MMO, try to have fun instead of rushing things. Without story and lore all there is left is a bunch of mechanics.

Is this game ever going to release

I think we are getting to the point where this almost comical now. The never ending spin that this game is making progress just doesn't work any more. Long on promise and short on delivery. They love to show off little bits and pieces to advertise and fund raise, yet nothing that even approaches a complete game ever seems to come out of it. At a certain point even the most hard core fanboys have to start to wonder what the end result of all this is going to be. I'm impressed that they have been able to string so many people along for so long, but the higher you build the house of cards the bigger the mess is when it falls apart.

I think the point is where posts like yours are the comical ones. Where the constant spin that the game does not make progress and they are just "pretending" they are doing stuff to get more money, is not fitting very well this desperate anti-SC narrative. I wonder if when the next major update releases you'll be one of those guys that will post bug compilation videos to dismiss what you don't want to admit.

I think you might be outnumbered max. When all the posts but yours is calling SC out on the ridiculousness of its money raising campaign maybe it's time to sit out of a thread lol.

Nah not all, some I know, others just troll for the sake of trolling, and a minority (on this thread's case nobody) actually gets involved in any serious discussion.

Several areas of this forum are like this, SC is ofc the main highlight.

They will spew the same "no progress" until 3.0 comes out. Then the narrative will change to "buggy mess" like bugs are a strange thing under development.

Right....so my saying him being outnumbered in this thread somehow relates to how many accounts exist that isn't even accurate. Please try harder in the future to troll

Yup this is exactly the thing. At the moment is "no progress, fake this and that, game will never release, etc"... once the next major update hits it will be about posting bug compilations to poke fun at the game. I feel sorry for the people that buy that narrative as serious. lol

Whelp, indeed I was the only one that even tried to point a normal discussion about something related to the dev update that wasn't hate related. Well if you can't beat them...

...Star Citizen is a scam and will never release, even if it releases it will be super duper bad!! There is no game, it's all ship sales! SHIP SALES! OMG DON'T GET ME STARTED ON SHIP SALES, those greedy bastards pointing guns at my head forcing me to buy ship JPEGS; and can you believe they had the audacity of releasing the JPEGs I bought flyable in-game? I'm like soooo triggered! << Haaay now I'm part of the "majority"!

The only thing comical about this thread is the number of people sitting at home playing make believe computer game developer.  Now that's funny.

I'm no hating on SC, in fact I was very excited about it. But it's been so long...I understand for good things it takes time. Have any of you actually been out in space? Perhaps mined some asteroids, or fought against some enemy space ships at all? I'm just curious, I see videos of someone flying over like a planet surface, it looks awesome of course. I saw a video of people running around I guess it was a hangar with other ships on it, is that all the backers are able to do at this time? Just want more meat instead of what I've seen so far, not hating.

Currently, Star Citizen has several bits playable on the alpha, it shows pretty much here what's currently released: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/getting-started

The flying over a planet surface is the part of the game set to release on the next major update (mining also planned for it but not fully confirmed), for now the universe release is a small part of a solar system with some space stations.

    In Star Citizen:

    Out in space - check
    Visited asteroids - check
    Explored asteroids - check
    Mined asteroids - not yet
Fought against enemy ships (NPC and player) - check
Running around with avatar - check
Flying over planetary surface - not yet (does driving with electric car count ?)

    In real life:
Out in space - not yet (but fortunately spoke to 100+ that did)
    Visited asteroids - not yet
Explored asteroids - remotely via space probe - check
    Mined asteroids - not yet
Fought against enemy ships  - not yet, and hopefully won't
Running around with avatar - check
Flying over planetary surface - not yet (does Mars data via VR count ?)

    Have fun

    PS:
You might want to add Star Citizen
    ship racing
    FPS combat
    social interaction
    shopping
    dancing
    EVA station repair
    Vendor machine transport
    to your list.
