I'm pledged to CoE already. AoC looks great. I might try it once they release it. I wish them great success. :)

So we get a KS and still nothing in depth about their combat vision or direction. Node system sounds awesome but I am not backing a game I have no clue if I am going to enjoy the combat. What you do 80% + of the time when playing. I need to know more before I give any money. I have posted this many times. Sell me on your combat and class direction and NOTHING. Disappointed =-\

I locked in at the $400 lifetime subscription tier, but like many of you have already said, a lot more information needs to be given about all of the other systems that will make up the game (besides nodes).

Luckily we have until June before you must commit to your KS pledge.

Ya they will need more rounds of KSer or other ways of funding the game. 750 will not do much.

If you watch their KS video, they said they are self funded and the $750k is going to be used to expand the game and add features.

They've already said they have other funding already and potentially more if need be.

    Wildstar had nodes...yeah.

If they can deliver a solid game in terms of basic game features, this thing will rock. They can add features over the years post launch, the important thing now it to launch fast and "complete"

Anyone know if this will be a theme-park type game or an open sandbox game with just a few, but important quests?

Actually they won't. The game was already funded through private investors. The KS merely has two goals. First to fine tune the game, polish it and add more features. And secondly, to get the community involved and ready for the games release at the end of the year.

I always want to know about the PvP and PvE up front. They always manage to not put that information at the top.

By end of year, do you mean 2017 or 2018? I ask because the in the KS the delivery dates for the pledge is Dec 2018.

I found info on these two topics on their FAQ site: https://www.ashesofcreation.com/faq/

They have talked about a flagging system so its probably similar to ArcheAge and BDO buts its unclear how important PVE is and if the game is based on vertical progression.

Whatever you want to believe I suppose, I remain firmly in the skeptics camp for now.

Also watch out for the fine print, I think you missed 2018 and I won't be surprised if it pushes into 2019.

Heck, might as well double down on your pledge with those inconsequential factors still unknown.

    What could go wrong? ;)

The game is not going to release by the end of the year.   I hate when people try to trick others into spending money.   Even the Kickstarter says that the Alpha won't begin until 2018.

it's one thing to be a fan, quite another to try and trick people into spending money thinking the game is about to release when it's late 2018 BEST CASE SCENARIO!

Before this gets out of Hand AoC = Age of Conan, this game is Ashes if you want to shorten it.

To the point of the thread, this game does look promising.

Well that livestream was disappointing.  Also didn't follow through on what they said they were going to show and talk about like the monster tokens.

Kinda shallow Q&A indeed. But the discord has an official channel for questions. Maybe trying there.

Some backers there posted a link to a gdoc with all info of the project summed up.

Shallow info is w/e if they just wanted to thank the supporters I get.  What isn't cool is saying you'll go into depth about something or address something and then not doing so.
