Most new and upcoming games look to move to consoles... Even games like Divinity: Original Sin ended up on consoles, and no doubt the sequel will too.

Wurm would not work well as a console game, well for that matter either would 7 days to die.

those games that you are so excited about like Divinity Original Sin is a fucking PC game long before they even gave consoles a thought.

Look I dont give a fuck if you think console gaming is the bomb, I think its funny, but your not changing my mind, its been a yearly inspection on my part for decades with the same conclusion, meh

Oh and I cant wait to get you into a situation where you tell me 'that is your OPINION' after I say a game is not any good....lol

I just told you that the games you often mention aren't very good.  Just wait another week 7DTD will be back to "mixed" reviews again like they were 2 weeks ago.  Its a crappy unfinished game no matter if its on console or on PC.

I don't care about changing your opinion, I'm just stating the facts.  Consoles are getting more and more games that used to be PC only because Consoles generally make more money on a per game basis.

I already know you don't like the majority of the games most people play, your opinion means little to me in terms of what games are "good" and what aren't.  The moment you start considering early access titles as "the best of what's out there"  is the moment you lose credibility.

yes I am very well at how you view your opinions as 'facts' and how others you dont agree with as 'views' I have also seen you seemingly intentionally get into that quagmire on purpose to your own demise.

    However,

This will be one of the best E3 events ever.

    Get your popcorn ready.

    lol...
i see zero indication that its going to be much of anything

Then you are out of touch with gaming.

    Microsoft has a new console

    Nintendo has a new console

Playstation has a new console and their 1st party are starting to hit critical mass

E3 is the mega of gaming events and all real gamers know it.

If you a a PC only gamer then I feel sorry for you.  :(

Of course the comments turned into a PC vs Console argument. I worry about some adults, I really do.

    No. It really isn't

And I can easily prove that console counterparts of cross platform games routinely outsell PC versions.  We've done this before. You lost.

proving that console counterparts outsell PCs would be completely random data point not remotely related to anything I just said.

you might as well proove how cows moo its about as relevant

It actually very much does. I know reading comprehension isn't your strong suit so I bolded your statement above. Numbers. Fiscal data. These are proof points known as facts.  Not a random data point at all. A very real valid one. Reread my first post up to now.  Your terrible choice in games is my opinion. That console counterparts routinely outsell the PC versions of the same game is a fact.

    1. how do you establish fact from opinion in the first place? you havent even defined your creteria, I assume (but dont know) that you base that 100% on sales only based on what you now say but didnt say orginally.
    2. how does sales equate to something being good as a fact vs an opinion? How do you argue that McDonalds Big Mac is better than Ruth Chris Statehouse based souly on sales?
    3. what does my illustration of your seeming problem with stating opinion as fact have to do with console specifically because my statement around your problem of doing so is NOT tied to the console vs PC debate.

So you make a lot of assumptions you need to explain yourself rather than just saying as a response to 'fact vs opinion' yell 'console sales!' and assume it has any fucking context outside of your head

Game shows have never been any interest to me,i see them, just the same as the market all year long,a venue to attract money/profits.
We already have more advertising than we need ,so why run shows where people pay ridiculous amounts of money to watch more advertising.

Further more, the results are very underwhelming,i see VERY few good games coming out each year,so i can most certainly wait for the few finished products and i couldn't less about Indie because that should just say "unfinished games".
There is something to admire, lets pay 50-250 bucks to go listen to some devs tell us about their game that will never be finished and always in early access mode.
I consider these game shows such a waste of time, you couldn't pay me to go to one, well maybe 5k+ i might consider it but would be painful.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

goddamnit I was hoping to get thru reading at least one post today without coming to a disagreement.

    KERBAL SPACE PROGRAM.

The top tier early access games that have been coming out have been very very very exceptionally game industry savingly good.

The MMO market has become so over saturated it is hard to feel excited about anything coming out. At least that is how it has become for me. Whenever something new comes out it just feels like more of the same. I actually made the switch from PC to console and it's like my eyes have been opened to so much more outlets of entertainment. Gaming has become exciting again. Destiny was a big reason for this, I actually am really enjoying the game right now and I'm only excited for E3 because I can't wait to hear more news about Destiny 2. I think that PC gamers and people who play MMOs especially should give destiny 2 a shot, especially since it is coming out for PC. It may be a change of pace for you and refreshing.

Who the fuck cares about console vs pc shit. It s rather pathetic argument. I own both, love both for different reasons, and will continue to own both. Does it make your penis bigger by saying one is better then the other. Damn some shit argued about is such a waste of time. Like one , both or neither, no need to go on and on about it.

Is this the E3 thread or the Console peasants vs the PC master race thread?
  • tofuknighttofuknight Member UncommonPosts: 15
E3 imo is just a platform for lying company like ubiatch to show great cinematic / gameplay clip to get ppls money where that kind of quality actually doesn't exist.

Though I love console MMOs nowadays (I played more ESO there than on PC) there is one aspect I miss: the chat box.
Probably not important for those who don't care or who use voice.
In terms of "solo" content of course it doesn't matter, but still, you are online after all.
And with regards to E3 - *shrug* - I don't really care since I long stopped the hype wagon. I appreciate more positive surprises afterwards than being dissapointed due to expectations.

CD Projekt Red are attending so i'm hoping its to tease us with some info on Cyberpunk 2077, but in reality I'm sure it will just be Gwent merchandising.

I usually try to tune in for the big conferences by Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony. They usually reveal something during those conferences that has never been seen before, but more importantly, the way things get presented often provides me with insight into the company mentality.

It is, of course, just a big marketing event but thats fine, I'm always in the market for new and interesting games so I'm happy to receive a lot of information about new games in a short period of time.

Regarding MMOs specifically, I never expect any information about MMOs from E3. As a genre, it tends not to get that much attention anyway and as E3 is primarily for consoles, it gets even less. The only thing I'd really like to hear about from this years E3 is New World from Amazon Studios. We know basically nothing about it so I'd love to hear some details and find out if it will actually be an MMO, or whether it will just be another online multiplayer game like DayZ.

I prefer the open nature of PC. I own this gen of consoles and honestly apart from using them as blu-ray players and media streamers i dont really touch either of them. Yes sometimes you get a nice first party game like Horizon Zero Dawn but really i couldnt tell when the last time i bought one of these media hyped first party titles and actually played them to completion. As for mmos on console, i prefer a mouse and keyboard and not having to pay for my multiplayer access.

    Playing: Nothing

    Looking forward to: Nothing
