I don't really enjoy D3 as much anymore just the same for me. But I agree with DMKano that the price seems more then fair. Even for people not interested in the class the perks alone is not bad.

I know I'm getting it. The Necro is really fun to play and, as @kanechart said, the extra slots and stash tabs are worth the price alone.

Although I won't be playing it(haven't played D3 in a long time, doubt I'll ever play it again either) I admit that the price seems fair. This time around Blizzard restrained themselves it seems :)

    Sweet, stoked for this.

$15 for a new class is fair? Other games offer new content and several classes. The base game or RoS are both $20, and the battle chest is $30. This includes several classes, a lot of content...how can $15 be fair compared to that?

Sure, it includes character slots and more storage - which cost them nothing, and is only limited to make you buy the expansion. Other games including the base game and RoS also include that. They can sell pets and the other fluff extra. If people want it, they can buy it, those that don't want it could get the new character for $5 or maybe $10 max.

So yeah, i don't own D3 or anything - it was simply not worth the price tag for me, so i might already be biased, and i wouldn't buy this right now even for $2 as the game itself still costs too much, so think what you want, but $15 for a new class seems a lot.

Same could say about WoW . They offer cheap battle chest , but the last expansion alone its priced the same as the battle chest which includes all other expansion priory to the last one.

So no! You are wrong. You always pay more for the newest content . You always pay more for a brand new car in comparation with a second hand one. So yeah! 15$ it's worth it . You don't like or own the game? That's another story , but don't come up on a game you are not playing & qq-ing about the content price. That's pathetic.

I can't believe that people are saying that $15 for this "content" is fair.

    Seriously, wow.

Someone remembers what price was for Reaper of Souls at release date?

I will be there ;D.  I would have paid $15.00 for the character slots and stash space by itself ;D.  Now if we can get them to allow other skills to be useful during high level play.  I hate Archon as a wizard ;P.

$15 sounds good to me.  I'll get it as it's not a bad class to play.

i understand that capitalism is bad but the entitlement of waiting things cheaper, better or more for less does get old.

we get it your one of a few select special snow flakes who does not give in an spend X amount for overpriced crap an don't understand the masses that do.

move along, their will be no special trophy for raining on others parade who do enjoy the price/content.

For most 5 dollars is still too expensive, ironically these same people despise f2p as well...

I am pleasantly surprised by the pricing, I was expecting 20+ dollars tbh. Also hooray for the release date!

You are the same people who get excited when gas comes down from $5 per gallon to $4...."thank for you the fair price!!"

Nevermind the fact it was $1.20 per gallon the year before lol.

Yes it is fair by Blizzard standards, but still kind of silly for what you are getting. Don't get me wrong, I'll buy it...just not going to be "thankful" for the "fair" price lol.

Good price, that's one WoW token. So basically 128k or so gold for the necro pack.
  • ReizlaReizla Member RarePosts: 4,092
Most likely $15 will be EUR15 (damn, no Euro / ALT-0128 sign under Linux), but I will grab it for sure.

Well, you could always buy 0 gallons and then have to walk everywhere.  I think I'd rather be happy about saving $1 on something I NEED for living rather than spend energy complaining about old prices of which any complaining isn't going to make them come back.

Of course, in D3's case, you don't NEED D3 to live, but... well, MMORPGs in general are a luxury "first-world problems" kinda thing, more so than any other gaming genre in an industry that's already a first-world-problems industry.   C'est la vie!

While true, it's all relative.  And as someone else mentioned, Blizz is being one-upped by the smaller studio behind PoE on value in regards to expansion content.
