I just saw this thing on TV called Dr. Who. There is this evil alien shaped like a garbage can that can suck away the internet with a toilet plunger. This is their idea of science ficion, using sledge hammer morality tales, I pity them.

Listen Asmodeeus, seven years ago, Ultima Online didn't even have those pathetic "quests" that you refer to or those "professions" of ninja, samurai, necromancer, and paladin. Nor did it have any of the neon crap, or bug mounts. It didn't even have any "combat moves." You turned on attack and jousted with simplistic swings. i think europe is just sort of resentful they arent the worlds superpowers anymore.
because historically europeans have been the most powerful nations.
now its the US, China, Japan, and the miscellaneous arab countries, North Korea(not a superpower but more of a threat).
europe has in a way lost its importance, and that is why i think their is a lot of anti american feelings in europe.

Dude what are you rabbling about? Noone here is resentful that we aren't superpowers. We are perfectly happy with how we are. Just because we think bombing everyone that doesn't agree with us, polluting the world and so on, is that way to go doesn't mean we want to be superpowers. Who the f... cares if your own country is a superpower?

Little does he know that europe has same nuclear power as china russia or the USA. It is enough to destroy the world.
Allot of foreigners like to parade around as sophisticated artsy-fartsy types. And if this Dr. Who show is the most advanced morality tale they can come up with, they are about two decades behind America in morality corny-ness. The same corny shows played here 20 years ago, shows like Greatest American Heroe, Knight Rider, Air Wolf; they are embarrasingly corny telling brutal sledgehammer morality tales.
This reminds me of the time I was walking around the streets of Tokyo, and the young Japanese punks were dressed and had haircuts like Elvis Presley. I was afraid to laugh, I might get ninja-chopped. The Elviis Haircut punk look is a 30 year lag behind American culture.
Basically the foreigners are all envious of American culture, they lag behind, considerably sometimes.
They made an absolute killing off supplying Britain and France with weapons and joined the war when there was sweet fuck all left to do.Same applies for WWII. Infact, the only reason they joined WWII was because they got attacked!
Before you go and get on your big high horse about how great America is and how they clean up everyone's messes, go look at your history, you're a bunch of pussies.

None of us go round in the UK saying we're not a super power i hate America! Most people i know Hate America because:
1. Alot of Stupid Americans on TV.
2. American English lan is being pushed on us.
3. Evey argument they just say "well if it wasn't for us in WW2 you'd be speaking German"
Well infact if it wasn't for MANY countries including Russia,UK,America we'd all be speaking German or wouldn't even be alive.

First of all Dr. Who is a cult thing. Just like Napoleon Dynamite, Star Trek and all that. Hardly something to judge the entire european culture upon. Most of the television here is american or based on american concepts. You kind of shoot yourself in the foot saying that all our television is rubbish
Lost, Prisonbreak, 24, Desperate Housewifes and so on are all just as popular here as in the USA. Many are aired at the same time or 1-2 weeks later than in the states. I hardly find that miles behind USA.
There was a big tv expo here in Europe not long ago, where all the major american series where offered. Basicly all where sold. So the Tv horizon looks pretty similar to the one in USA. There isn't much difference between USA and Europe anymore. We watch the same Tv (Talking about series, movies. Not news), we wear the same cloths, we listen to the same music and we eat similar food. It's more the political ideas, peoples attitude and the "world view" that is different. Europe is still leading in the classic culture I think though. Since we have a very strong tradition of it.
well...i am on those ones who you pity....but i challenge you to show me the achievements of your "great" country in the last 2000 years...oh i forgot...your great country is still an infant comparing to us poor europeans right? please get a life. this is a forum for games mostly not idiotic statements.

It's pretty ignorant of you to judge an entire region of the world based on a freakin television show. Besides the fact that Dr. Who comes from England, which, contrary to popular belief is not ALL of Europe. Besides the fact, that in the great scheme of things, nobody gives a sh!t what you think.

No it's because the vast majority of Americans are idiots and are led by a moron. 20% illiteracy for the worlds richest country is pathetic.
Back on topic, Dr Who is ridicolous and isn't meant to be taken seriously, but it is in it's own way brilliant, it's funny and has an edge to it of modern London life, it keeps to the current day and doesn't stray from it's focus on England, which is good for us english because we like most things to be centred around ourselves.
