Wild West Online News - Wild West Online has officially entered closed alpha testing for backers and supporters of the game. Keys went out late yesterday afternoon. During the multi-week Closed Alpha, players will be able to take part in Gold Rush to collect, mine, refine and sell...or steal all the gold you wish.

    I'm looking forward to this game. I'm going to buy the £19.99 access so i can play closed beta to see what it's like.

    Not me, too many red flags on this game, if its ever finished and its 'clean' then maybe, certainly not before, all things considered. :/

    Really looking forward to some actual feedback on the game. Love the wild west concept but too many red flags for me so far.

    Interesting looking game until I read their FAQ:


    Q: Will there be any prevention methods for people logging out on PvE servers and jumping into the same spot on a PvP server allowing an advantage to kill people?

    A: You will not be able to login at the same spot if you’re changing servers. We are also not planning on providing official PVE only servers, PVE rules must be set and enforced by player run community server admins.



    Another game I'll be passing up due to forced PvP. If I can't play on an official PvE only server I'm not playing.

    I've learned my lesson on buying early access and any game that forces PvP even if the penalties are minuscule or you can avoid by staying in safe areas or not leveling past a certain point.

    At some point there has to be (I hope) a tipping point where there are way too many PvP MMO's and these companies see people like me aren't throwing away our money any longer. Surely there are tons of people just like me but perhaps I'm just a special snowflake.

    Wish them luck though.. nice to see something a bit different even if it's not to my play style.

    Looking at the gameplay I have no idea why anyone would buy into this one. Then again people care more about promises of what the game could be instead of what it is right now.

    I was interested at first, but it's got too many red flags for me to put money on right now. Gonna let this one cook until it's done then check the reviews. Got plenty of other games to play in the mean time.

    Fairly certain the reason is these cheap titles have very limited PVE so without PVP there isn't really much of a game.

    If this doesn't get it through your thick noggin, that EA (Early Access) games are a gamble, bordering on an out right scam... then nothing will!

    Wow, that gameplay video was sad.  The game actually plays worse than War-Z.

    I was just saying I am glad I didn't buy into it now because it had a "refund" option. You have three days of this now and 3 more on the 22-25 before you have to decide if you want one and from the looks of it as it is I would have been applying for one.  

    I bought into Gloria Victis's closed alpha for $15 long before it was ever on steam and there was way more in the game than I am seeing in this closed alpha.

    I actually thought this was going to be a game i might buy.I saw it hit top of charts in Twitch so i watched a few streamers.

    How to say this,......WAY over rated.

    It ends up being another survival game but with six shooters.Survival games means almost no effort,low budget

    Then there were some serious bugs,such bugs that it tells me they put a crappy effort if any into inside testing before getting it out to the public.Stuck /stationary horses,how could that slip by the coders?

    Bottom line,just antheer cheap effort game,not worth the time of day.I am not going to stop calling a spade a spade until i see some serious effort put into these games.

    I would give it a 3/10,not even certain why a 3 because i saw nothing creative,nothing new.

    Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
