Ok, so *just* watched an episode of XPlay where they did a preview of Auto Assault but it was an old one so they said, "We'll do a full review when it's released later this year" Problem is they never say WHEN the segment was made, so here we are after launch and those who don't know better are thinking, "Hey, this is worth checking out later" and then promptly forget about it.
On the upside (heh, get it? Upside? heh, human joke) the preview was very positive. They did however mention the "reverse engineering of gear your opponants drop" as a cool innovation and since the RE aspect of crafting has been visited by the bad nerf fairy that made me kinda wince. To clarify you used to be able to RE stuff to get enhancement formulas that could be applied to other weapons, armor, power plants with a bit of twiddling. They have added a serious "randomizer" for lack of a better word, and serious restrictions to what can be memorized and reproduced. This was done so that crafting was more "meaningful" not just plug in recipes, and to keep really good combos from dominating the market for those lucky enough to hit on them, but most feel too many restrictions have made crafting not worth it since it is very costly and time consuming to persue.
Anyway, just wish, since I love this game and want it to see enough subscribers that it flourishes, that Xplay, or more approiately G$ I suppose, would pay attention to dates when rerunning stuff.

Granted I'm a little off topic here. I hope AA does well also, but it is, and will likely always be a niche game. Something ShadowBane witch plods along with about 100K subscribers.
But if AA makes enough to keep the servers on and make more content/improvements. That's cool with me, I don't need 234,689,394,930 to play the same game I do. I'd kinda prefer they didn't.
Let the dummies play WoW, AA will attract a certain type of player. One I hope is a bit smarter, a little more skilled and a little less of a follower than your average bear.
See ya in game

Achievers realise that killers as a concept are necessary in order to make achievement meaningful and worthwhile (there being no way to "lose" the game if any fool can "win" just by plodding slowly unchallenged). -bartle

The "The Test" link in your sig doesn't work, btw. It leads to a "Forbidden, you don't have access" yadayada...
