Marvel Heroes Omega and Gazillion Entertainment have been pretty quiet lately. So quiet, in fact, that players and fans are beginning to speculate what might be going on behind the scenes, none of it good either. According to Massively, an October 20th update has yet to be deployed, a Halloween event, usually a big ticket in-game happening, didn't fire off and at least one employee has written that he's moving on.

"...check the top Twitch clip of the game, it’s probably the most cringe worthy thing you’ve seen, with the CEO openly threatening the Community Manager’s job, who currently is nowhere to be seen."
I felt the same cringe that night!
Also worth mentioning "A major Marvel movie launched (or launches, this week, depending on where you live) and there was no event, promotion or whatever, as is usually the case."
Some possibilities for the silence are:
1) The CEO is being investigated or possibly removed by the Board due to his past indiscretions or the games poor performance. If it's due to his past discretions, then input from Disney and or the increasing press related to the CEO's past may have brought things to a head. They need to work through this before announcing anything
2) Legal has called them out for opening themselves to lawsuits for bait and switch tactics regarding the proposed changes to the Omega Prestige system. Most people bought the OP packs for the 560% power boosts that were revealed. Nerfing those boosts could potentially open them to a rush of refund requests and barring that lawsuits.
3) The Board has looked at the financials since the console port and and are VERY unhappy. The CEBro needs to make tough decisions which could possibly include dropping the PC or even console versions of the game.
I'd expect to have heard of mass layoffs if they had already decided on cancelling a version of the game.
This is truly unprecedented for the company. Complete and utter silence by all non moderators (including no posts by the Community manager just to say the delayed update will be delayed even further)
Thew CEBro is the #1 problem with the state of the game. I pray he is getting canned.
The game looked like an incredibly cheap effort, like some indie game with about 100k into it ,looked more like a licensing gimmick than a serious game.
This has happened a lot in this industry,a lot of licensing products but poor efforts in the game designs.
This Gazillion is not going to immediately fold shop,so i suspect some gimmick cash grab like some new monetary plan, perhaps adding cash shop ideas but i highly doubt is anything positive for the game, only their pocket books.
Here is some food for thought....remember all those devs claiming "we listen,we keep in touch with the community? All one needs to do is contact their community manager which i am 100% certain this site does often seeing how this very low budget game has garnered a lot of attention over the years.SO imo lots of hush hush ,misleading conceptions towards the community.

WORST treatment of an audience and fanbase I've witnessed in a longtime. Shameful really. It's like watching a car crash and being able to do nothing about it, it is the systematic destruction of something great through sheer stupidity. Enough to make you weep and before they were doing so SO well. Crazy
Abu Dhabi, that is a GIANT when comes to mafia and money...as well Allen and company investment bank,a very secretive operation that is a VERY big player.
So i understand how Abu Dahbi got involved with the UFC ,we are talking multi millions. The partial sale "Abu Dahbi" maintaining a % in ownership was still questioned by the law as a suspicious sale.
So i wonder why the hell these two giants would get involved with a mickey mouse punt game like this.So yeah there is definitely something going on behind the scenes and way out of our league to figure it out.

I've had many dealings with fenixion and I definitely disagreed with how they moderated at times.

I’d rather have another X Men Legends game.
These things happen a lot men get away with this a lot. When I was younger it happened to me too and no I did not try to report anything because my mother was living with me and I was the only person earning any money. Told a lot of people they felt sorry but no one did anything because men get away with this.
Absolutely nothing. Sure is a lot of down, though, I imagine.
Things were going so well for a while too until Brevik left. After that, cripes.

If you think about all the junk cosmetics no one ever bought that they had to create for movies they could have spent that time developing content but the pressure from Marvel/Disney is real and wouldn't be surprised if mandatory promo events was a term in their contract. Cryptic probably knew how shitty it would be working with them so had the sense to back out early and just passed the project off.
Also the politics of not creating skins for x-men and pulling f4 cause fox is bullshit the non-hardcore marvel fan doesn't really want to deal with when they just want to play a game and have fun with characters they like. Oh and lets not forget not adding heroes/skins that many people wanted like Namor or others because there wasn't a movie coming out for them. Those were Marvel's decisions not Gaz's.
Yeah Gaz has bad leadership and filled their dev team with a bunch of entry level interns but that's probably all they could get(including the CEbrO - FF) when you look at how their numbers have dropped over the past couple years after Brevik left. Super hero squad was a fun game though.
still, at almost 3000hrs played I got my moneys worth.

Dohrmann's alleged behavior may be the root cause. Focus may be only on dealing with this issue and not the game. Meaning money is now going only to lawyers and potentially settlements.

Have you read what his ex wrote in the blog about what he did to children ?
Doomsaw on the reddit has updated with what he suspects is going on, at least in regards to the PC version, which includes taking it off of life support.
At this time it's reported that the console outlets, Xbox and Playstation haven't been told to pull any material, or stop any sales, and they are expecting updates.
There is certainly something going on from the top down, and as others have mentioned, the CEO is likely the major culprit with others being complicit taking fault as well. Brevik and his wife have both outlined this recently, and with these types of allegations making the rounds in media and corporate culture, there is no getting away from it now.
What you say is also true though. Legal has probably been warning them of the Omega Prestige changes they planned on implementing, which, in their mind, they probably were protected on due to the EULA, but in this instance it wouldn't save them. This most certainly is part of the delayed patch as new Omega Prestige characters were set to hit today -- HOWEVER -- there are still omega prestige packs available for purchase, so the fact they haven't pulled them leaves some questions unanswered.
