Even if her views are “the right ones” (I am an atheist) she isn’t going to make friends and influence people like this, she must know this, so I think she wasn’t really trying to evangelise, just make a cheap shot at an easy target for some T.V. exposure.
Should the T.V. station have given her air time?

    yea like the crusades.

or the crusades 2.  oh i meant the iraq war.

the premise is still the same.   rich religious leaders start conflicts under false pretenses.

poor then rally to fight the war.

    rich get a pay off.

hundreds of years later we are still paying for hte crusades on both sides.  hundreds of years later, we will pay for the crusades 2 on both sides

I highly dislike people like this. They are so close-minded. Its horrible.

I know a few people like this (and I'm only in High School). This one guy, I listened to his conversation during lunch one day, but he was discussing religions with some other guy. He was being asked to prove that there is a god or prove all the things in the bible are true, and he just goes "I don't need to prove it! its all true!" or one time I heard him say "Oh, I oculd prove it if I wanted to, but I can't right now!"

People are so stuck on themselves, Full of themselves, and so incredibly brainwashed its ridiculous. I myself am atheist, I can't see any possible way that there is a god. However, I was raised in a christian family and I have gone to church up untill my confirmation then I hit the road and got out. But I do see that most of the things being expressed in religion are good. I think religions are good, its just a reason to have hope and believe in something. Mainly its a way to not be depressed all the time heh. I just hate when people take it too far and go, God does this, God does that, because that I simply can't believe in.

On to the topic of the free speech and such. I don't know, just let people say what they want. At a funeral? maybe the lady shoulda been shot, ha jk. News in my opinion is horrible!! I hate hearing the same thing over and over, car crash, plane crash, massive shooting. In this area a few of our local channels are trying to become a station that looks at both sides of a story and shows them. Although just recently they did a piece on my school (my schools getting rid of class rank and changing their grading scale and all, this is a whole other argument here for me, but I'm leaving next year). Anyways, so they interviewed the principal about it, showed some footage of people walking in the halls, then interviewed a student. The only thing I have with this is they are trying to show both sides, but the principal talked for a good 5-10 minutes on the subject, and the amount of time they showed the student talking was honestly less than 30 seconds. Both sides? I dont think so. K I got offtopic my bad

    that is all

From my somewhat limited knowledge of the Bible,  ( I only read it as an historical reference and for ammo to use against people like her ), it seems that there is no part of it that she does not violate.

Kinda make me wish there actually was a Heaven and Hell cause Satan would surely be fashioning a very own private one for her alone, and I bet God would help him make it.

Would be fun to see her face upon death when expecting to be let in trough the pearly gates.

    - Saint Peter "Down you go"

    - Satan "Welcome. we have been waiting for you down here, if you would just come this way"

if you think our society is anywhere near free, just try not joining the draft if they start one.  oh wait, if your rich like G.W BUSH you can ditch it and then become president ;)

There is a time and place to express views, to express these types of views at a funeral is wrong. People like that only reinforce my atheism, I feel sorry for good christians who will be associated with people like this.

These people are despicable. Just like the leftwing anti-war 'protesters' who sit outside Walter Reed with their vile signs. These people may have the 'right' to do this, but it doesn't change the fact that they are despicable, whether from the right or the left.

Please don't judge all religious people by the actions of a few crazy people.

The vast, vast majority of religious people quietly practice their religion and try to live life according to their beliefs.

Listen Asmodeeus, seven years ago, Ultima Online didn't even have those pathetic "quests" that you refer to or those "professions" of ninja, samurai, necromancer, and paladin. Nor did it have any of the neon crap, or bug mounts. It didn't even have any "combat moves." You turned on attack and jousted with simplistic swings. It was a better game then. if you can't guess why then just uninstall the thing and move along. - Crabby
